HC Ryan Day (2019 B1G Media COY)

I agree. The "M" thing is just plain fucking ridiculous, and the fact that it's now university policy is quite frankly embarrassing. It shouldn't be just another game, but it shouldn't consumer our souls either. Unfortunately, the Columbus media will never allow it to find some balance because it's such a hype machine for their viewers and clicks.
That’s where I’m at too… heck yeah it’s an important game. It’s the most important game of the year for any team in college football and it’s not close.

That said it shouldn’t be this 1000lb gorilla that causes the team to play tight.

Instead of deemphasizing The Game, I think you find a coach that can handle the pressure who then, because he creates team culture, fields a team that can handle pressure.

This talk about reimagining The Game is the softest bunch of loser shit I've heard of since the first time some Stepford Mom told my kid that they don't keep score in their little league and everyone wins.

No one wanted to do anything different when we were winning. Don't be a bitch when we are losing. Double down and find a way to goddamn win.

If people actually think recruits or team players are affected by shit that's said by fans online then what about this raging cuntery? I can't imagine the kind of alpha male, hard hitting killer types we need would want to come withing 1,000 miles of this type of safe space horseshit.

Soft as an overripe banana and it carries over. This offense really should’ve been a fully functioning Death Star… and Day’s supposed to be/I guess was at some point an offensive stud… and still we get beat again by some hobo Ewoks.

Howard was under-used. He should’ve been a bigger Barrett who could actually sling it a little. The first actual dual threat we’d had since Fields. Nope.

Lauded as America’s best backfield, Judkins and Henderson were under-used. They should each have been well over 1K yds and we should’ve seen breakaway runs from Henderson like his freshman year. This duo should’ve been a faster, better version USC’s Bush and White. Instead, we got… Meh. For all the yapping about Kelly being a rushing attack genius, we got, yep, Meh or worse.

Our receivers were criminally under-used. Egbuka should’ve been a 1st or 2nd team AA and all but disappeared; I’m sure not by his choice or lack of effort. Tate was given a few chances and rose to the occasion, but didn’t get more of a chance than that. Smith overachieved just because he’s a freak of nature and why we almost deliberately avoided throwing to him at the end of the season will never sit right with me.

And then he says, after shitting the bed again and causing us to fail at two of the goals we all had carved in stone and heard him yap about every week, that the goal all along was to make the playoff and then goes on about NFL wild card teams getting hot in the playoffs. How many wild card teams have won the Souper Bowl? SIX! Six since 1970. Even making that analogy is just stupid.

The goal wasn’t to back into the playoffs after being clowned by tcun and missing the B1G championship game. To even suggest that just proves my initial premise. I’d rather hear you say what we all know, that we fucked around and are lucky to even have a playoff home game and we’re going to take advantage of that and ball out like we should’ve all year.

He better unleash the hell that we know is in the WHAC and shave that fucking beard. As Steve19 referenced, it all started to go to shit when he decided that he had to prove he was a tough guy and grew the beard.
A lambo with a briggs and stratton.

Yeah and none of us can possibly imagine the pressure a fat fuck fan on a couch can apply to a bunch of 20 year old kids.

Pressure is fine but too much and will you really operate the same? Absolutely not.

If you want to win the game then some of the pressure needs to be avoided that’s not necessary.

I can't tell if you're trolling the last few posts or serious... I think Cap'n has Stockholm syndrome

He grew the beard to cover up his Rosacea but whatever.

Pretty sure he grew a beard and then starting talking with a deep voice to show how tough his players are... I'll never forget how retarded he sounded yelling for Lou Holtz after pulling it out at ND. This guy is not it. I would love to eat these words. But fucking-a what else do you guys need to see?

I’m interested in winning. I can tell you added pressure isn’t always great for kids who need to play free and aggressive.

Really disappointed that we're disregarding body language and instead embracing pseudo-science such as pogonology and vocal analysis. Thought this was a serious community. Let's get real.

Can't blow my cover, but I have experience watching FBI body language videos. The above is hard to look at, it's sick, really, but it's important to acknowledge 'nonverbals'. First, let's look at where Day's sitting. He's placed himself on the 2 yard line. Why? He's afraid to move closer to the endzone and score. Because what happens when we score? The drive ends, and you lose possession of the ball and therefore control over playcalling. What else is in the endzone? His opposition, but more importantly, the lights. He fears when the spotlight turns to him.

The biggest tells, though, are in his BL. Day is in what we call 'scared little baby' posture. Head bowed in fear, body starting to curl up into the fetal position, legs bent so that he can jump up at any moment and flee. And look at those thumbs. Pointed down, hidden in shame.

Compare that to the nearly dead man on the right. He's old, probably still remembers voting for Hoover, knows every catheter commercial by heart, and he sure as hell has Colonial Penn life insurance. And yet he's in the endzone, embracing the fact that his journey must conclude at some point. Compared to Day's, his posture is upright and confident, hands clasped but thumbs pointed up proudly, stretching towards heaven. Such a stark difference.

Jesus Christ :slappy: This would be even funnier if I didn't think I could search Twitter for 5 min and find someone doing this exact post but seriously.
