HC Ryan Day (2019 B1G Media COY)

And Ross Bjork gives Day full support.

Why is there the need to state this by Bjork?
Or better yet, let me ask this: if this is truly how Bjork feels, then what are the metrics for his performance? Just tell me now if we're moving beyond The Game and we're going full NFL with out outlook on what we're looking for annually?

You know we have a game in 13 days, right? If we fire Day today, the chaos begins immediately with portal activity.

Yes, the portal also opens Dec 9th….i don’t think many players leave that close to a playoff game. Not meaningful contributors anyways.

But if you fire Day tonight….things could get whacky…it’s too much chaos to introduce at this point in time.

My point is, high level boosters discussed what’s best for program, concluded it’s prob not Day, but he can’t be fired immediately like many of us would like.

It’ll happen after the playoffs.
Oh I think don’t do anything until after the playoffs if it’s an early exit… I’m just saying there’s a short window to when to actually do it

Ok so they are tickled pink but still had an overall shitty season and are going to make a shit bowl game? You’d be ok swapping seasons with them then? Serious question, not trying to be an ass.
Why do you keep bringing this up as if you have to lose that many games to win “The Game”?

Everybody doesn’t want to swap seasons, we want to swap that fucking game on Saturday, alongside the elation Michigan players have attained from it while the complete mental breakdown on our side.

Also, they are our rival we don’t want them to feel any joy let alone from beating OSU, and the fact the latter is the situation when they had a shit season kinda sucks don’t you think?

ADs always say this when things are being discussed - and people know they are being discussed.

For the rest of it, there's no reason to put anything out there that isn't already in place or on its way to being put in place.

I don't think anybody said he doesn't care about OSU. He's just said numerous times that he doesn't want to return to college football. Even at OSU. College period. As for the Browns, he's got a cushy "analyst" type job right now. He would probably be someone they would look at if they fire Stefanski. Vrabel is an NFL guy. If someone offers him a Head Coaching job, he'll take it. whether it's the Browns, the Bears ( who already fired their coach) or someone else.
I don't think he said anything about snow either lol.

My point is you keep saying "multiple times" and never wants to coach college and doesn't like recruiting. I consume quite a bit of OSU media and I think I remember someone else saying once that Vrabel wasn't a huge fan of recruiting. Unless you have sources I'll go ahead and believe that it's a different conversation when they're in your home with an open checkbook than when someone is asking you and you aren't trying to stir shit up at your beloved alma mater

Makes sense. Sorry for the emotional response.
I'm curious about your POV Mike, what do you think the University wants to see from their coach and the expectations as we move into this playoff model?

College football has already gone full NFL with the expansion of the playoffs.

I('ll have to go back and dig them up, but he's said it in several in several interviews with media covering the NFL. OSU media is the only ones allowed to talk to Vrabel you know. And by the way. I wouldn't have any problem with Vrabes coming here. I'm just going with what the man said. And if he has a change of heart I'm all for it.

Please do. I would very much like to see them.

How hot could that topic have been while Day was taking over and Vrabel was firmly entrenched as an NFL coach not on the hot seat? Like why would the NFL beat even care to ask a follow up and what motivation would he have to open up and tell the truth? All I'm saying is what you said then may not be how he feels now, if he wasn't just moving past the question to not stir shit during a transition at his former school.
