I said this a long time ago and I’ll say it again: we tend to underplay Michigan on this site. They have more talent than we on BP believe. That talent on their two lines kept the game close. Their talent at kicker and punter turned out to be critical.Georgia pulled through and beat Ga Tech we folded and lost to a already bad team missing their best offensive weapon and missing like their whole starting secondary
Fully agreed that the team plays afraid because we coach afraid. It’s a mindset. And Day doesn’t compel it. Saban was great at it.
Iirc, it's either $27 million or $37 million. What's Days buyout? I bet it's $50m+ --- that money should go to the "mercenaries" who do more for the school and program than any of us do. Unless you are the one writing the fat check, or are a former player, just enjoy the show is how I reconcile it.

Which is a team that plays not to lose in big moments.Teams reflect their coaches so much...doesn't matter the sport. Tom Izzo and his Spartans, Saban and Bama, Urban and any of his teams...heck, I look at Shane Beamer at South Carolina. Then you can look at the other side and Ferentz and Iowa, among others. This team, for better and worse, reflects who Ryan Day is.
Around the third quarter the whole team looked like they were playing not to lose. It was like when Ohio State didn't put them away early that they realized it was going to be a real fight and they started playing scared.I said this a long time ago and I’ll say it again: we tend to underplay Michigan on this site. As for Georgia, it took 8 ots and Ga Tech going to “prevent” with five minutes to go and a 14 point lead and a QB not covering the ball fully while running.

Today’s after field shit would’ve never happened under Tress. We would not have lost that game with Tress as the HC.A very good team and coach, but risk adverse, avoids conflict, etc. You can obviously see based on his post-game non-reaction that he's not the guy to step up during chaos. It's an unfair comparison in some ways, but I think of how Tressel would have reacted to that. Actually, it's not unfair, they both held the same position and should be held to the same standards.
Or the rant toward Lou Holtz… like we don’t need to vocalize we’re tough.A very good team and coach, but risk adverse, avoids conflict, etc. You can obviously see based on his post-game non-reaction that he's not the guy to step up during chaos. I agree with the original comment so much. We really do underplay the kids that TCUN has. They’re some rugged fucks and at least they aren’t going to get pushed around. They don’t have the QB or the WRs to truly be dynamic but their LOS play is outstanding.Around the third quarter the whole team looked like they were playing not to lose.
