You need to recognize your weak points and 1) improve them and/or 2) improvise with plays to minimize their weakness.
Takes a leader.
We have a very good QB coach

Here's another Bill Parcells' quote:
FWIW, I'm not advocating that Day should be fired at all.....but.....
I agree. You need to recognize your weak points and 1) improve them and/or 2) improvise with plays to minimize their weakness.
In THE GAME the big difference was that (I'll say) McCarthy/Corum outplayed McCord/Henderson; however, this was due to the fact that this year's OL was not up to the task in the Michigan game. McCord didn't get great pass blocking nor did Henderson get great run blocking. Ohio State lacked the depth on the OL room to adequately replace Paris Johnson, Luke Wypler, and Dawand Jones. Ohio State's replacements just didn't perform at the level necessary to beat Michigan. The defense was vastly improved from 2021 & 2022; the OL just didn't get the job done. JMHO, the OL was Ohio State's "achilles heel".
Where was our QB this yearTakes a leader.

Saban clearly has a deal with Satan and somehow didn't monkey paw itI will acknowledge in a different world -
Nick Saban looks like an even worse of a loser than Ryan Day today.
4th and goal from the 31yd line! Against a 5-6 team on the road - not an undefeated legitmate Mich team on the road. 5-6 Auburn!
His team makes a play/gets a break/whatever you want to describe it. Day’s team doesn’t today.
I don’t know why that is. Sports are dumb. There is no righteous God.
Either way, today sucks to feel this and Alabama gets to escape feeling how they do.
It makes no sense.
Also, I’ll be the rare person that gives Day credit for personnel changes. He has fired and hired improvements at every chance. The idea he’s sitting on his hands is wrong (save Special Teams but that will happen).
He’s a young leader but he has TRIED and is a work in progress. His connections brought in the great Hafley but only for 1 year. Studwara? Gone. Defense? He got rid of beloved Coombs for underperforming.
He somehow got the early disjointed Defense (LJ Sr/Knowles) to get aligned by end of year. The guy has made tough decisions for Ohio State. Our secondary was back to DBU due to his hires. Give him credit.
I truly think Day wants to win badly. He isn’t some ho-hum aw shucks loser. He’s shown the red-ass fire in his belly and the team loves him. He cares a lot.
It doesn’t change the results that well…he has lost. And lost to top top teams.
I think he gets it and it just sucks we’re living through the growing pains. This will be our guy for a long time whether we like it or not.
Maybe things change - or maybe Ohio State history shows…we won’t win NCs, no matter how great the players or coaches.
Cherish ‘02 and ‘14 because it could be a while until it ALL clicks again.
(sports are stupid. Fin)
I do not want to hear your team "can play with anybody" after you lost the biggest game of the year, again. That's just empty noise.
Tressel came in and before he coached a game he put his balls on the table. 300 days later he went to Ann Arbor and backed it up.

Meyer was stuck on QB read/draws too and it became old.there's a difference between wanting to win badly and wanting to win badly your way. He definitely wants the second one. He hasn't really done anything to show the first yet.
