I think you mean 1-1, since 2020 didn’t happen. His record is 2-1. 2-2 then the seat gets a little warmer.

Long CoVid brain fog .1-2 would be unfortunateI think you mean 1-1, since 2020 didn’t happen.
I have many questions about Ryan Day the HC right now and I suspect next week is going to tell me everything I need to know. Come out and beat ttun and I can move forward feeling pretty good. Lose and that's two in a row to a team that is, on paper, significantly less talented. That's a coaching issue, in my IMO.Love Day, always have and outspoken about it. However, whatever is happening on our offensive play calling HAS to change, or it won't be the season we want. Whether that's Day, Wilson or someone else, I don't care, but so many of the play calls are just inexcusable. Not questionable, inexcusable. First time I've thought that but seriously, it has to be fixed. It's not us "saving our playbook", you don't do that on the road against #13 PSU in a game they desperately want to win. It's incompetence.
I know we won and it was an enjoyable win to be sure once the clock ticked 0, but there are so many issues where we just out think ourselves to the point of absurdity.
The toughness at times still comes into question about this offense. I prefer Hayden and Williams in tough games, and Henderson is more of a change of pace but should get the least amount of carries. And some of the play calling is just plain mind numbing. I only want to be so critical, as I’m only just the message board guy. But why isn’t Wilson being used more to call plays and run the offense at this point? Can’t Day just fall back into a CEO role like Meyer?I have many questions about Ryan Day the HC right now and I suspect next week is going to tell me everything I need to know. I always went into The Game with supreme confidence under JT & Urban. That is lacking right now.
Either Day is struggling to figure out how to solve this teams problems, or he has been going vanilla, using the games as practice, and keeping his playbook closed the last half of the season.I have many questions about Ryan Day the HC right now and I suspect next week is going to tell me everything I need to know. Great coaches delegate. Meyer, Saban, Dabo, Kirby...they all have/had an OC and DC. There is too much going on to do it all. Day needs to realize this. I have no problem with him being heavily involved in game planning, but he needs to trust the guys he's hiring and step back to focus on other areas. The toughness at times still comes into question about this offense. No one “holds” anything back.Either Day is struggling to figure out how to solve this teams problems, or he has been going vanilla, using the games as practice, and keeping his playbook closed the last half of the season.
We will know a week from now.
Watching the UCLA-USC game, and you can see Day’s run concepts from Chip Kelly. Difference is, Charbonnet doesn’t dance on stretch plays like Henderson does. Our current run scheme benefits Hayden the best, and Williams runs so tough that he makes it work for himself. Henderson works well when he doesn’t have to choose the hole or direction. He can hit the hole and gain yards, but he is having a hard time breaking tackles and following blocks because he hasn’t been a RB for very long(became it his Junior year in HS), and could flat out out run everyone. Henderson is also clearly injured, but healthy , his game would fit better in the zone read that Urban ran where you hand it off with the threat of Stroud now feeling confident running.
I wonder how much with Hendo is injury. He wasn't this tentative last year. He doesn't look like the same back.So much this. Henderson seriously just fucks around too much at the LOS and doesn’t realize he isn’t in HS anymore. Not to mention dude just goes down at first contact way too much for what’s considered to be a top tier running back. I understand he’s injured but the vision has been an issue dating back to conference play last season.
He wasn't right for late last season too... he's been hurt I feel like since his big game last year.I wonder how much with Hendo is injury. He wasn't this tentative last year. He doesn't look like the same back.
