Eugene gets about the same average snowfall as Charlotte, so that's kind of a non sequitur. We get roughly five times as much.

And this year is even putting that to the test. I flew from OR to NC for relocation this month, and I encountered my first snow fall, freezing rain/sleet, and a week's worth of sub-freezing temperatures. Go figure.

Granted, it's also supposed to reach 60 something by Wednesday.

If I were a recruiter and a kid was concerned about the weather, I would simply ask if they had goals to make it to the nfl then the weather should be the least of their worries since they will be playing in cold weather once they hit the nfl.

I have never seen a college football player tell any "cold weather" NFL team to not draft him because he didn't want to play there. In fact it may be an advantage to a NFL rookie to already be acclimated to playing in cold weather.

I read that Saban has a "you are not allowed to complain about the heat because we cannot control it" rule for both players and the press. Well, recruits can control that ....

I also think weather is an extremely overrated factor in recruiting. I'd venture to say it's WAY down the list of an overwhelming majority of recruit's lists of reasons for choosing a school.
