as far as driving "drunk" probably have been at the .08 levels a few times. if youve ever looked at one of the charts ive probably been close/over the legal limit yes. but ive never driven piss skunk drunk.

I voted yes, but I guess I should have read the opening post before I voted.

Yes, I do drink and drive. Once or twice a month, I'll have a glass or two of wine, or a cocktail with my meal. At a friend's, or at a restaurant, or at a family member's house. Then I'll drive home.

But in the first post, you wonder if we drive under the influence. No! - I have in my yute, but as osugrad21 says, there is just too much to lose.

This is not to say I wouldn't be more than happy to be the designated passenger.:)

I did more than a few times in college.
Thank the lord I never hurt anyone or myself.

I don't drink at all anymore except for the Christmas party once a year. I got it out of my system after I moved away from places where I could get smashed and walk home.

I'd be lying if I said I never have. When I was younger and a little less wise, I would drive after a couple beers. I can honestly say that i have never driven while "drunk"....though that is a very subjective term. Nowadays I refuse to get behind the wheel after so much as a drink...way too much to lose.

Have I ever been wasted and driven...... yes

Do I drink and drive.... no


maturity, having a family, and a job that I would lose if I got caught all factor into that.

I realized that after I finished writing the question, but I cannot edit the poll. You'll have to ask Buckeyeboy for the exact question, but I think it's supposed to be driven under any influence of alcohol. I guess to me drinking and driving has always been synonymous with that.

What I meant by that was in a chronological standpoint. "Do I drink and drive.... No".

Was I once young an stupid and did drink and drive, ashamedly more than once.

It looks like several folks who answered "no" would have answered "yes" if the question were phrased differently. I think the intent of the question was have you ever had a serving of alcohol then driven a vehicle (note you don't need to be drunk when driving)... if that were the question, I think it's safe to say the results would be different.

If I'm wasted my wife drives us home, or I call my wife to pick me up (if I'm out with the boys)... however there are times I've driven home where I was in control, however if I had to take a breathalyzer test, I prob. would have failed or at least come close to a fail (esp. now that they lowered the limit from a .01 to a .008).
