Another Heisman candidate who wasn't when he left the Shoe...Kliff Kingsbury.

I was at both of these games... Pretty sweet looking back at them. MoC breaking the single game freshman rushing record at Ohio State against TTU. And the Silver Bullets spanking WSU.

October 29th 2011: The Ohio State University football team will face the Wisconsin Badgers and their Heisman candidate QB. According to the great Heisman prognosticator Joe Tessitore Mr. Russell Wilson is currently the leading candidate to win the trophy annually awarded to the player deemed the most outstanding player in college football. It's time to officially welcome Russell Wilson to the Big Ten and to Columbus, Ohio...where Heisman hopefuls come to die.

Pay it forward.
Well... Charles Woodson didn't think so... :(

Don't recall him being a serious Heisman candidate. I could have just missed it though. Hard for me to remember the also-rans.

Drew Brees wasn't seriously considered a Heisman candidate,

How do we define "serious candidate"? He finished third in the voting in 2000.

Sure, he was a loooooooooong ways away from #1 and #2, but he got his trip to New York.

Maybe he wasn't a serious contender before he played Ohio State?
