Has a team ever won with field goals, while the other scores at least one touchdown?

If you knew it happened in pro football, why would you think it never happened in CFB? I don't follow this reasoning, low & high scoring is found in both leagues.

It's really not that abstract. Horrendous weather, defensive struggle (you know, the kind PSU-OSU has regularly), horrendous offense (FSU-Miami lately), etc.

Back during your younger years, in 2002, OSU beat Penn State without scoring an offensive TD... thanks to Gamble's pick six. It's not really a big leap to imagine 2 extra FGs instead.

I remember that game vaguely, it's one of those games I actually watched before 2005.

Do you actually read these responses, or just notice that I replied and think "Yes! Another opportunity to flame the stupid Penn State fan!"? The question asks IF it happened. If I thought it had never happened, I wouldn't have asked the question in the first place.
Are you serious? For real, man, are you just messing around? It's very difficult for me to believe that someone who seems to have a very good grasp of the English language and can type complete sentences can manage to make me so strongly believe they are addicted to crack.

Are you a robot? That might explain it as well.

What this board really lacked is one thread within which all the mundane, asinine, and self-evident inquiries could be posed.

Let us all bless this thread for out-doing Donny. A catch-all repository for anything you should have known, or been able to figure out, or even imagine.

I think it will be a real treasure trove.

What we needed was the thread for all dumb-ass questions - because remember, when folks tell you there's no such thing as a stupid question, they're just plain wrong!

But, ask away - mankind needs the entertainment.

This isn't remotely personal nor specific. If our buckeye fan administrator asked the question, he'd face the same razzing, possibly more due to his typical stance as a smart poster.

When you make a foolish post (whatever the category), you just have to laugh at yourself. The open board is littered with users who set themselves up on the tee.

I'll be sure to be the first one to rip you a new one whenever you ask a dumb question, and based on the average level of maturity of the posters who could not be bothered to answer "yes" and cite a specific example, I know I won't have to wait very long.

I doubt you'll be the first to rip him

So because the average user here is immature (and stupid, if I catch your drift), you won't have to wait long for sandgk to ask a stupid question? That's some interesting logic. Either that, or you were prolonging the entertainment at sandgk's request, albeit indirectly, again.

This thread is full of win.
