Got online and played for about two hours last night, couple quick thoughts:

1. I got my ass kicked in SWAT, that's clearly a game for more ELITE/Experienced players.

2. FLOOD is awesome. It's a legitimately scary game. Nothing creepier than being chased by 5-6 flood mutants and trying to hide while the time expires. Tons of fun.

3. Still pretty frustrated trying to get good at the BR. Seems like every time I land a shot an opponent jumps and I end up missing the next 5-6 shots. Plus it's tough in Big Team Slayer to try and get anything done against vehicles while you're using a single shot weapon. As of now I prefer the Storm Rifle.

4. What is Oddball? I tried to jump in a game and got zero expanation of how it works.

Working on the gravity well beams in single player. The new, enemies and sessions are power sweet.

Pretty disappointed in the music so far. The game menu had me hoping for more.

Played alot of Big Team Infinity Slayer last night.

Couple of questions for the masses:

1. When I earn an ordinance drop, is there anyway to predict what I can choose from? It shows three images and I am just simply picking the biggest gun (most of the time a laser or rail gun). One time I got a gravity hammer and had no idea how to use it. Are they created at random?

2. One negative thing about the Big Team battle is we seem to be playing the same levels over and over and over again. Ragnorak and Exile.
I'm assuming because these two levels have the most vehicles. Getting a little stale though - other than voting for a level, is there anyway to suggest differing locales?

3. I haven't unlocked everything yet - but does anyone have a favorite perk? Jetpack is just ok, it gets used up pretty quickly. I'm thinking Camo might be good.

There is no way to specify what you want/get in ordinance drops. If you could, then people would obviously be getting the same 3-4 weapons and purely dominate.

As far as i know, there is no way besides voting to change the map. Usually the same map is being played over and over because people like it alot. The same thing happens in regular slayer and other game type. People start to tend to like the same maps, so they are always voted for.

The perks don't seem to give a big advantage in this game like in Reach. The best perk I've seen is probably the resto shield/bubble. It regenerates you and your team's shield when they stand inside the bubble. Camo is way crappy in Halo 4. It used to be pretty good in Reach, but it stupid easy to see people in camo and hardly lasts any time. I use resto shield or mirror image perk the most often. Both are very effective.
