Cornell still writes great songs and sounds fantastic on his studio releases, but I don't think his voice is the same as it used to be. Every live/bootleg Audioslave album I've listened to has been terrible.

Agreed, Alice in Chains last cd came out in 96 or so and he was so sick they never even toured fro it. He had a couple side projects after that and a few shows here and there but mostly for the last 6 years of his life he was slowly dying away. Most think, I know I use to, that he died rightaround the time of AiCs last cd but he was still around 5 or 6 years just to strung out to make any music. His voice is amazing him and Maynard are two of the best.
