I went to school in Ohio, it was still called "My Report Card" I know because it was usually celebrated with an ass beating.

LadyB's girls still call the report card the grade card, so to each it's own. How many ass beatings did you take?

Yeah, I believe my sisters is called her "status report" or some shit like that. Considering I averaged a D throughout my first 8 years of school, a lot.

Catch phrases in commercials currently running on TV:

"Water smart"

(one can't water smart because smart is an adjective and water is a verb in this case. Adjectives do not modify verbs. That's why we have adverbs - water smartly)

"Expect great"

(one cannot expect great because great is an adjective, not a noun. One can expect greatness, though)

Those are just 2 current examples of how we use adjectives for everything, even when they don't make sense. I swear I see it every day.

Just saw another commercial:

"Wagner Power Painter...paint fast, pain smart."

The Death of the Adverb continues...:shake:
.. people answering questions with "yeah, no..." drives me crazy. Your answer cannot be both affirmative and negative. Pick a side!
OK! I will!

Or maybe I won't ...

Let me get back to you on that.
