Glasgow to Ohio State

AURORA ? Marmion senior offensive lineman and DeKalb resident Graham Glasgow will be a preferred walk-on at Ohio State, according to Cadets football coach Dan Thorpe.

Thorpe said Glasgow visited Minnesota, Michigan and Ohio State in the past few weeks to explore walk-on opportunities, and determined Sunday that he wanted to be a Buckeye.

Glasgow, a 6-foot-7, 310-pounder, also had received a Division I scholarship offer from Eastern Michigan.

"He probably could have played sooner at Minnesota, but he wanted to see what he could do," Thorpe said.

Glasgow joins fellow Marmion seniors T.J. Lally (South Dakota State) and Nick Scoliere (North Dakota State) as standouts from last year's Class 6A state runners-up to make a college selection. Offensive lineman Jake Winkel is considering Army and Wheaton College.

Thorpe is excited about Glasgow's football future.

"I just want my kids to go be treated with respect, and for them to work hard and have a great career," Thorpe said. "If it's as a starter, wonderful. If it's as a contributing member at a D-I school, that's fine, too. I just want to make sure the kids are happy."

Just another OT for scum.....I am at the point of not caring anymore. I hope he earns a scholarship and they add 12 more in the next recruiting class. Only 2 play on offense and those two better be really good ones. I think we can manage to find a couple more studs. Adams is probably the best in the Big 10 right now. Go Bucks

Your a good man for a Michigan guy. The mods did change the title of the thread from OSU Preferred Walk On to Michigan Walk On, that should tell you something. BP newshounds are the best in the business so expect the straight story soon.
