Graham G"LLLL"asgow (OL Detroit Lions)

Congrats to Graham!! Welcome to the Buckeye family!

Literally, this is a big surprise. I think most people had him in pen to the Golphers. To take a "project" OL with his size and nasty streak without having to burn a scholarship (right away) is a huge plus. With both of his folks being doctors too, you know he's got the smarts and work ethic in the classroom as well. I wonder how much his researching depth charts at the schools he was considering helped him choose us. Graham's got a fantastic opportunity here.

Agreed, based on his parent's comments, I had him to Minny for sure.:tongue2:

Trying to comprehend the weight of this announcement. Will graham have a Scott Sika type impact or do people think he will be a potential starter some day.

I know he is raw and folks seem to love his upside, but other bigten schools seemed to be only interested in him as a preferred walk-on. although I could be wrong about that.

Either way, great get from a depth standpoint and I believe he'll earn a scholarship down the road.

^ For a kid that has only played one year of organized football I think he could go as far as cracking the 2 deep at some point in his career to providing depth on the scout team. Regardless I think he can help the Oline unit as a whole and I am glad he picked OSU.

It all depends on how he develops, but I think he has just as much an opportunity to start as any of the other kids in that recruiting class. He's got the size, smarts, and nasty. If he can put everything else together (technique, speed, strength, etc.), he could be a huge steal.

With Graham, the risk/reward doesn't get any better. Very little risk, potential for a nice reward in the end. All he needs is a chance and Ohio State is willing to give him one... on the biggest stage in the Big Ten with a team that needs O-Linemen, no less.

With as thin as we'll be with scholarship OL after '11, he should feel pretty good about his chances. We'll only have seven (Hall/Mewhort/Linsley, Norwell, Bobek/Brown/Underwood) who have or will have had college experience at that time, so I'd have to think Glasgow having a year in a s&c program under his belt could give him a pretty good leg up on the incoming '12 class. I'm definitely happy to hear we have a guy like Graham on board to help out at our greatest position of need.
