Tell me thats not a NC type schedule. Bye week to prepare to go into Beaver Stadiuim (always hard to play there) and Illinois/Northwestern before we go to the Pig House. Damn I'm excited for next year.

i agree, iowa and michigan will be our 2 toughest games.

didn't iowa have a freshman qb this year and like their 6th string tailback??? i'm really hoping that the browns can pry ferentz away from his new contract, because if he stays the hawkeyes will be a serious force to be reckoned with.

the schedule looks very favorable for us to roll into the Big House undefeated for yet another great installment in the greatest rivalry of them all.

No, Drew Tate is a sophmore, but it was his first year. Thier running back was their 5th string walk-on... but the guy from the Iowa Scout site said something about how he had transferred there, and was like second string at his former school.. or had been 5th string due to injury, or something along those lines.. made it seem better to have him hand it to us.. lol.

Under Tressel, we don't do well on the road after off weeks.

2001: Lost at UCLA after a bye following our opening win at home against Akron
2003: Lost at Wisconsin after a bye following a home win against Northwestern
2004: Lost at Northwestern after a bye following a win at NC State

The only win after a bye week under JT came against Kent State, at home, two weeks after our opening win against Texas Tech. This will four out of five seasons that the game after a bye week will be on the road.

Texas is the only home game that should be a real test. We shouldn't have too much problem with Miami (Oh) and SDSU. The only Big Ten team that should even gives us a tough time at home is Iowa. Granted, they waxed us this year at their place, but we do real well against them in The Shoe and both our defense and offense will be much better. Michigan State, Illinois, and Northwestern should be little problem (I look for us to really put it to Northwestern in response to our upset loss at Evanston). On the road, Penn State will be tough, but we should win, as with Minnesota. Indiana almost shouldn't even be considered a road game. Michigan will be out for blood after what we did to them last weekend, and a win up there is always, always tough.

I see three games that are dangerous: Texas, Penn State, Michigan. We should do no worse than 8-3, with another magical "out-of-nowhere" undefeated run, ala 2002, very possible.

I'm glad that they moved the bye week a little later in the season, even if it is only one game. I think that really hurt us in the schedule this year with this young team. We were just starting to get our feet under us and then you have to stop for a week.

The schedule does look great for a run for the NC. Good point by MililaniBuckeye about tOSU's difficulties following bye weeks. I am not as concerned about Penn State though, considering the fact that they will be learning to dance to a new drummer next year. That game up north definitely concerns me the most. At Minnesota could be a surprise tester too. A little off the subject.....but, why in the hell is it named Beaver Stadium for the home of the Nittany Lions?

Miami Oh - Not a problem
Texas - Yeah lots of people are worried about this, but when is the last time mack brown beat a highly ranked opponent (assuming tOSU will be highly ranked)?
SDSU - This is second most dangerous game we have, a real trap game, these guys are tough, and they are sandwiched between Texas and Iowa.
Iowa - I would say this game would be very tough, but I think we will remember what happened in Iowa city.
PSU - This is the third most dangerous game on the schedule. We are very rusty when we come off a bye week, expecially the QBs. JT needs to look at what he is doing here and reevaluate it.
MSU - I think we should win this easy, most of our D comes back, and I think we should shut down their offense and win easy.
IU - We should win easy, but you never know, stranger things have happend (see Northwestern 04).
Minn - I really don't know about this one, If they bring back a lot of guys this could be close, if they lose a lot of guys then we will probably blow them out.
Illinois - They used to play us tough, but it seemes that they have gone down hill, it all depends on how good their new coach is.
Northwestern - Pay back is a bitch.
scUM - This game rarely goes to the visitor, and when it does, it usually goes to the underdog. Thats not good for us if arrive there undefeated.

im going to have to assume you have fallen and smashed your head off the counter top. I've already called 911 and they should be dropping by shortly.

either that or you mean these are 2 surprise games that might give us trouble. because theres no way you meant that SDSU is the 2nd toughest game on that schedule. theres no way you have PSU 3rd. hell, PSU is tougher than SDSU and PSU doesnt even make top 5.
