Schiano is from New Jersey but served as LB coach at PSU on his way up. It has long been rumored the only job he would leave Rutgers for is the Penn State job.

Thanks MRoss, I knew he had coached at PSU, but did not know that he was from NJ. I have heard that New Jerseyites have a special bond with Joisey, so who knows, he may want to make his mark at the "state school"

yeah...it's one of those things where they realize nobody else wants to be from Jersey, so they might as well act like it's a big deal.

Good point, it sometimes seems that they relish in the fact that people from 49 other states make fun of them.

Schiano could help return PSU to prominence, or he could continue to build Rutgers into a power. Given the state of Big East football and NJ pride, it would not suprise me to see him stay at Rutgers.

Rutgers has a really nice class going. It'd almost be a shame to see Schiano bolt for PSU because he has something special brewing in Piscataway.
Yeah, he has a pretty good thing going at Rutgers, but I think there's a ceiling there as to how far he can get them. He may compete for conference championships and a potential BCS Bowl, but he's limited at Rutgers as far as resources go. At State Penn, he could build a national power as opposed to a conference power at Rutgers.

As much as I enjoy whooping up on PSU, if Schiano is going to build a powerhouse I would just as soon he do it in the Big Ten.
Agreed. I loathe State Penn, but him potentially helping them back up is good for the Big-Ten.

Browsing Rivals recruiting and came across:

Davian Harper
Mesquite (TX) Mesquite
Ht: 6-foot-3
Wt: 200 lbs
Forty: 4.55 secs
Class: 2010 (High School)

Is the high top fade coming back?

Harbaugh has a nice class going. Odd seeing 5 TE's.
I agree he has a very good class put together. 5 TE'S is very odd. I wonder if one or two of those TE project at either DE or OT. Two of them are like 6'7'' 230-240 lbs range. Outside of OL you rarely see that many guys in one class that are listed at the same position. Unless your Penn State they have like 6 db's in there upcoming class.:oh::io:

LOL... I guess i got caught in the moment and didn't realize we had that many DB recruits. However you must admit that 6 DB'S in the same class is alot and somewhat uncommon. And technically Green, Mcdougald, and Brown are athletes. Mcdougald and Brown might be a stretch but i personally see Green playing offense.:oh::io:
