But let's be honest - which at this point, having seen Young play, would you vote for?

At least we know VY has done it against a real team, while Lienhart(sp) plays in the pac 10 so who's to say.

If I had a vote and it was due tommorow it goes to VY

MililaniBuckeye - I'd have to agree

I didn't want to put it that way, I was kinda easing into it...
I mean, I like Leinart as a favorite to win it, but watching Young play against your guys - man, he was pretty damn impressive, especially because the knock on him was that he couldn't throw the ball especially well.

Not to mention, that I believe you guys have probably one of the top 4 defenses in the nation, bar none. That dude was just making plays against you, and it's hard to stop someone when they make those kind of plays.

the better "team" won today. which includes the coaching staff. today we learned that ted ginn can be stopped, vince young can be stopped, and mack brown can and DID outcoach tressel. congrats to our visiting texas fans. you have one hell of a team.

good luck and kick some USC ass in the rose bowl!!!

I think the most talented team won, no doubt. however, even though I am not a fan of two QB offences, overall I wouldn't agree about the out coaching comment at all. I choose Smith as QB right now. I do realize that were all down because of the loss so fingers will and should be pointed.

I also hope that Texas beats USC in the rose bowl many games from now, but lets just hope they get there guys. Anyway congratulation to the best team today (Texas) in an action packed game.

Do you think there's a 'costal bias' because Young plays in Texas, and Leinart plays in a larger media base?

Costal bias? No. There's always a bias against West 'Cost" teams.

He played great but did have 2 ints, one on a dumb play. I've yet to see Leinart do that.

I'm not trying to second guess JT because he is a great coach, but I would have run the ball w/Pittman and/or Schnitker on the 3rd and 14 play. If you run the ball you should atleast get two probably three yards, which would have made the field goal a 47-48 yarder instead of a 50 yarder.

Anybody else feel the same?

Honestly, I've seen more parallels between tOSU and Texas fans than with any other OOC team we've faced in the last 5-10 years.

Passionate, know their football, believe in their team, and largely represent themselves well on our forum. I *really* look forward to going for revenge in Texas next year, and I think it's a damn shame more teams aren't scheduling games like this.

Instant classic, just wish we were on the 'right' side of it.

This post makes less sense now, as it was merged in (appropriately) from another thread.

In my honest opinion

I think Tressel needs to make a choice at QB. When you switch them like that, you take a lot of cohesion from your offense. And as much as I hate to agree with them, Gary Danielson had a good point on the 3rd down right before that field goal try. Tressel probably should have taken your RB that was hurt out of the game and put someone else back there, because he was obviously hurt.
