We understand your linebackers are good, but I don't think you understand what you're getting with Young. He is not your average mobile quarterback. Your team hasn't seen an athlete like him at quarterback, period. And don't throw your "4.4 at 260 pounds!" stuff at me. With Young, you need unreal lateral quickness, not straightline speed. No offense to your linebackers, but they cannot match up with Young in that department, nor even come very close, frankly.

I tend to think that are linebackers a little better than simply saying they are good. While I am confident that OSU is well aware of what difficulties VY will present to the defense, mainly because we have a great coach in JT, I wonder if you understand what you are getting with our entire defense. I wonder if your offense has encountered a defense that has as much overall speed as this defense has? More importantly, does Mack Brown understand this? To underestimate the speed on our defense and to think that they cannot come close to matching VY would be a huge mistake; a mistake that many Miami fans made a couple of years ago before a certain NC game in the Sanoran Desert.

If Mack isn't careful, he gonna get his ass stomped, and may have a Buckeye leaf tattooed on his forehead a week from now.

Just like the last Big 12 coach to face us. For the record, Jim Vertuno's article was written as if UT beat up on some sort of powerhouse. They gave us "plenty to think about"? Please. The more articles I read, and the more smack I hear VY as talking, the more I'm going to love watching our defense drive his ego into the ground. That guy has no idea what he's up against on Saturday night. Ignorance is bliss, VY, so enjoy it while you can.

One TD? Your god damned right that's in check (127 were in the first meeting where you got butt raped, I smell inflated scrub numbers). Our D is better than OU's was last year, good luck in a non-neutral site. It's going to be a sad day in Texas when they finally get their Rose Bowl buzz killed. Oh, and by the way, just to flip the tables on you; Vince has NEVER faced a LB corp like the Buckeyes have so forgive us if we don't bow at the alter of Vince Young. Doubt the lateral speed all you want but Vince is going to think there were 13 guys on the field by the time this game is done. I hope he had fun running on the scrubs at La-La, things are way different in Columbus. You better hope he can make the adjustment from worst LB's in the nation to the best. You're not in the big 12 anymore. Now that I've got all defensive I think this is going to be a good game, 24-14 OSU. No DJ, no Benson, no Mangum (you lose to Michigan without him), no problem. We ravaged the exact Michigan team that took you to the wire and we have you at home. Vince is good but he won't be enough.

Yeah, I know they have had some tough games at Arkansas :pimp:...whats funny is that a Texas fan actually cited this a while back

That's an ignorant statement. There's a hatred that Arkansas feels for Texas that Ohio State's crowd can't possibly approximate. It's one of the most bitter rivalries in college sports. Playing in Columbus will not be as difficult an environment for Texas as playing in Fayetteville.

Besides underestimating the team speed we have on the defensive side of the ball and merely stating that our linebackers are "good", you now underestimate the passion of 104,000+ Buckeye fans in the 'Shoe for a night game. The noise on the field during Saturday's game will be at a level that Texas has never experienced, not even in Fayetteville.

In all honesty, the Texas offense faces at least as much defensive speed every day in practice. I have no problem with OSU being listed as a favorite. Hell, I've picked them to win 20-17, but that's largely based on our past performances in our biggest game of the year. But for those of you who think Texas has no shot, that Texas hasn't seen a guy like this or a defense like that, you're way off base.

Arkansas hasn't won anything in what, 40, 50 years? Maybe their fans wouldn't be so bitter if they had a winning team once in a while...the bitterness of fans at the Shoe is probably much more intense against any opponent we face, and in no way could compare to the MIchigan rivalry

I'm not talking about noise. Obviously 30,000 or so additional people will be louder. I'm talking about the environment. For Texas, there's just no comparison between playing in Fayetteville and Columbus. Arkansas is a much tougher environment for us.

Other teams have also stated that they have seen as much team speed every day in practice, then state otherwise after the game.

Does Texas "have a shot" in this game? Yes. Has Texas seen a defense like OSU's recently? NO; not even in practice. Should it be a great football game? Yes. Would I bet on Texas? No! Why not? It is in the 'Shoe at night, we have Jim Tressel and the Horns have Mack Brown.

Texas hasn't played a game yet. Thats right you heard me correctly. LaLa is not as good as their scout team. This game at home didn't help them at all. It may have hurt them by giving them a false sense confidence. Their numbers in this game are skewed and are not impressive considering Miami of Ohio would have beaten this same team by 35+ points.

Texas was horrible on special teams, fumbled the ball 4 times, and had 1 interception against sisters of the poor. If they think OSU is not gonna be hitting they need to watch a rerun of our game. If Texas doesn't hold on to the ball better they will have 6-7 fumbles against us.

Texas will have delay of game, false start, and illegal motion penalties all day. The crowd noise will cause them to not be able to make audibles and will cause their offense to be out of rythm.

I watched the Texas game and one of their "stud WR's" Sweed was dropping passes. Their WR's are a joke. Miami of Ohio has much better WR's than Texas does. We are going to stack against the run. Youbooty and co. will be matched up against their WR's and probably have 2-3 interceptions if they try to pass.

All in all I see a sloppy game from Texas. They haven't really played a game yet. The crowd noise and better competition will cause stupid penalties by Texas. We will be hitting alot harder than LaLa and will force alot of fumbles. I see OSU winning this game by about the same margin we beat Michigan.

Texas this year reminds me of KSU of 2003. The only problem for Texas is that we are better on offense than we were in 2003 and we have just as good of a defense if not better.

You're overrating your speed and defense. The Texas defense is just as fast, if not moreso, and just as good. Texas' defensive line is much better than Ohio State's. Your linebackers are better. I'll take our secondary over yours.
