Oddly- I've been waiting for someone to take issue with that statement... but no one really has... yet.

I agree our defense will be very good but we also dont have Dantonio as DC anymore. Snyder did good job towards the end of the year but i dont think he was aggressive enough at the beginning. If he calls the game like he did agains Michigan and Ok St. then I think we come away with a winI have no doubt that Texas has a great O-line. VY wouldn't look very good without a good O-line (no one would). But are they going to be ready to stop a defense that even Miami couldn't solve?
I can agree somewhat but I also don't think he had the horses in the beginning of the year...lack of discipline on the d-line, new MLB, questions at CB, injuries, and Snyder finding his identity. It wasn't so much about his calls, but more what he COULD call. Watch film of the D-line in the first half of the season and compare it to the last half...the discipline difference is amazing. Experience in the trenches will usually trump talent.siebs7 said:I agree our defense will be very good but we also dont have Dantonio as DC anymore. Maybe this is the article in question?Zurp said:Someone, please correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Miami's O-line supposed to be pretty good in 2002? I would think so, since they were the awesomest offense in the history of football, according to all the "experts". I remember reading in SI (no, I don't have a link) that the coaches were constantly teaching the O-line what to do if OSU threw this defensive rush or this one or this one against them.
