Hey here are some specific questions asked of me on HornFans that I can't answer as I am not from columbus:

drycreek[/font]]Please give me the low down on a couple of things.

First off, scalping on gameday/gameweekend, how hard is it and what do you expect this this game to be like? I've got my flight, hotel and car, now all I need is tickets.

Second off, do you know anything about the Holiday Inn downtown, cause that's where I'm staying. I think it's close to Nationwide Arena, and the two other party areas near dt (Germanvillage is one I think) can you tell me if this is true. The hotel is located two blocks east of the mall dt.

Last off, where are the best party areas? And by this I mean where are the cheap beers and hot ass Ohio State chicks who want to be traitors with big pappa for a night??

On that last question, is he talking for old people or college age? Old people I have no idea, college students- everywhere (but especially on the other side of High Street). :groove:

See, prices like this are really going to make it hard for me to persuade my fiance that I have tickets and won't be able to go to her best friends wedding. Don't worry, the groom has already been yelled at for having a wedding on September 10th.

not bad, but for this game who knows nc st tickets went for face value and wahsington tickets were triple face value. for the michigan game good luck and enjoy the game at the parking lot/vc

there is one at citycenter and one in the arena district

arena district is nice so is breweyr district (both near downtown) campus is 5 miles or so north of downtown. my guess on good plays to go is varsity club, hineygate, rally at riverwatch (all north of lane) and 4kegs and the new bar on high which are east on high

Believe me, that is what I am doing.

She has known since the Alamo Bowl that I want to go to that game. Was actually hoping she would be on the ball and get me tickets :)

Then last week we were at a wedding and said the next one is September 10th and I went ballistic. She knows what I want to do. The problem is we have yet to set a wedding date for my wedding. We already got into this fight becaue she wants a fall wedding and I told her it has to be before September and after Thanksgiving

I am scared this might become a barging chip either go to this wedding and miss the Texas game, or commit the cardinal mistake and schedule your own wedding on a day of an Ohio State game and piss off all of your friends. Damn women!

I was Front Office Manager at the Holiday Inn Downtown (City Center) for 2 years. I feel a little bit sorry for whoever is staying there....that being said, it's about 10 blocks from Nationwide Arena, and about the same from German Village. There is a hotel shuttle that takes people around the downtown area, but not up to campus (Unless you give the driver and FOM $20  ).

Hey fellas, drycreek here. Thanks for the help scUM and anybody else. I can't wait for this weekend. It will be epic. Piney, I feel for you man. I CAN relate. My older sister scheduled her damned wedding on Texas/OU weekend two years ago. I seriously almost didn't go.

I had my headphones on the whole time and then got into a bit of trouble when I didn't show up to the wedding reception with the rest of the wedding party because I was at the nearest sports bar.

College Football should be a priority to everyone. Why can't women understand this?

Oh and I'm 25 fellas. So I will be ready to party when I land in Ohio at 11am Friday morning.

Waiting until 11 AM to get started??? :shake:
Hey, don't give him hell. I'm going to have a sober monitor (read 'hot broad who only drinks a beer or two') watch my intake all day. I definitely want to -remember- the game. I can hold my liquour as well as the next guy, but with the buildup this game is generating and having all day to tailgate, I dont want to turn into 'that drunk guy' at the stadium. I may have to go on a few test-runs before the 10th :wink2:
