Mili, I just used that new Google map engine and its only 1.9 miles, door to door. I think you will be able to handle that comfortably in fifteen to twenty minutes, eh? The road also is well lit. If you are superstitious, you'll go even faster as you walk by that large cemetery across from the strip mall on your way!

So pleased for you and all the BP'ers that will see this one.

Guys, spare a thought for all of us mongrels out here listening through tinny Internet radio when you are drinking in that scene. Then, represent us all by screaming your rears off! Then, get to an internet connection after the game and tell us what it was like!

I don't understand what all the discussion about lights is about, we all know that Ted Ginn Jr and Vince Young radiate pure, divine light. :roll1:

For those who weren't aware, I hear that after the game TG2 and VY will fight to the death on Mirror Lake, like in Hero.
If they do that absurd, sword-in-the-lake-propulsion move, I'm leaving. I couldn't stand that move.

Isn't that the cemetery where Woody lies? Might want to stop by and pay homage. My grandparents are in the cemetery closer to the hotel--the one near Riverside Hospital. Sounds morbid, perhaps, but I'd love to get back to Columbus and make a few cemetery stops.

On the other hand, if you want to avoid the cemeteries, cross the river at Dodridge and walk down Neil Ave. Then you can cut down through Como Park and Tuttle Field. Way back when, the Bucks used to practice on Tuttle Field. Not quite so far back, folks like Chris Spielman and Pepper Johnson could be observed dragging tractor tires filled with concrete around Tuttle Field.

On the other hand, you could just wade the Tang. It's all with the current going to the game. Can't tell you all how many hours my brother and I, and our buds, spent "letter high" in the Tang.

However you decide to do it, have a great trip. I envy you.

If his grave is there, I will. Probably will bring a Hawaiian lei and place it on his headstone...
It is there and don't forget to bring Ti leaves too! You can pretty much get em from the flight attendants (since you can't take them out of Hawai'i on your own) on the flight if they have them on the service carts...usually get them form the first class attendants. A nice tuberose and red carnation would be sweet for the headstone!

We're gonna party like rock stars!

Maybe this is the article in question?
That looks familiar. I guess my point is that you need to solve the defense both physically and metally. It may be as simple as Snyder vs. Dantonio. Maybe Snyder is easier to solve. Maybe Texas is better at figuring out how to stop the OSU D. But I think that the mental aspect of the game, especially O-line vs. D-line, is often over-looked in discussions.

i would agree with this statment 100% there is so much that goes into the mental side of the trenches that never gets talked about. Often when a team struggles at the beginning of a season on offense it is due to the fact that an inexperianced offensive line has not learned how to play with each other and who has which assignment and so on. The defensive side is a little less complicated but no less important. This is part of the reason that Horn fans are so excited aoubt this texas team. The line returns 4 starters and 1 center that has plenty of gameday experience. These guys have been playing together for 3 and 4 years and understand the nuances of the offense( well as many nuances as any greg davis offense could have) typically it is rough to have this type of game so early but this texas team will be better equiped to handle it than any of the mac brown era. Our defensive line isnt half bad either!

If anyone can convince my buddy to not get married that afternoon, and can then get me tickets to that game, I'll pick you up at the Super 8, and CARRY you to the 'Shoe, and then carry you back to Super 8.

Who the FUCK gets married on a Buckeye Football game Saturday? You're Buckeye Status should forevermore be taken away if you get married on such a date! AND THE TEXAS GAME NO LESS! THE BIGGEST NON CONFERENCE GAME IN OHIO STATE HISTORY! I for one would have to bow out and say..."sorry dude! I'm going to the game! And get your fuckin head checked!"

i second what hayn says.....gatting married on a buckeye saturday is the end of your manhood....if you agree to that, you might as well hand your penis over to her for the rest of your life....b/c you've already fallen victim to the golden pu**y syndrome......

Gentlemen, listen carefully to the voice of wisdom! It is a great truth that our brother shares with us!

No, Woody is in the cemetery across the street from the hotel and further north. That would be the cemetery you are describing, it's called Union Cemetery. Yep, been there, done that!

It would be cool if you could get a picture of that. Here's a picture of the headstone
