Game Thread Game Two: Texas 25, Ohio State 22 (final)

If both teams play straight up I think Texas will control the line of scrimmage on both sides... Texas imo has one of the best D and O lines in college football.

IMO the bucks have better WR's, LB's, and DB's... so if the OSU D can keep Texas off balance (throw the kitchen sink at them if we have to... just don't show the same look twice), and force VY to beat us through the air... I see OSU winning.

On the O side of the ball I think OSU needs to run quick plays... Just assume we will not have a lot of time to throw the ball, move the qb outside of the pocket to buy more time for our WR's to get open against the DB's...

If on the other hand, VY gets in a comfort zone, and their DL gets to our QB's I think Texas wins...

Who will dictate the type of game that will be played? That will more than likely be your winner...

I'm going with the bucks... as has been stated at night in the shoe is very, very tough to come in and win...

Partner, I rarely ever disagree with you, but Holmes had no one with 8 yards of him and was rolling in sync to the left with Zwick. I'll try and make a clip of the play tonight. It would've had to have been an absolutely horrendous throw for any of the DBs to get to it...Tones was that open.

Fortunately it didn't matter, and Zwick made good decisions nearly every play.

I remember posting a comment on this play during the game. I was happy that Zwick found a receiver for a short gain on 1st down when scrambling under pressure. Then I saw just how wide open Holmes was on a replay. But I can't fault Zwick for getting a short gain that play - when a QB is on the run he can't see everything - and from field level it's much more difficult to see just how far behind the defender Holmes was.

I think the point that Vertuno was trying to make was more about the racaus crowd, not the quality of the team fielded. One could make the argument that the past 2 A&M teams we've beaten @ their home field haven't been to quality of teams. It's more an argument about us being somewhat accustomed to animosity and loud fans. In no way is he trying to say that arkansas is as talented as tOSU

A comparison of loud stadiums doesn't really mean squat when the team that plays in that stadium sucks. I have never understood the Arkansas reference. Sure they're loud, but nobody loses soley on noise. Combine noise and talent, THATS what HFA is about.
