i also believe that betts is a better passer than young, so we faced a better quarterback that can get the ball to the better recievers, its just my opinion though.

With time to throw he is, but I think Young would do a much better job of handeling the pressure than betts did.

What's weird is the wideout who looked the best on saturday was Brian Carter the redshirt senior, not the highly recruited freshmen and sophomores.

The young guys will get better, just not till midseason or so though. After saturday, I still expect to see half the balls thrown in the vicinity of David Thomas.

Miami has 8 guys who were 4 star recruits out of school? I doubt that.
let's see...for Miami, one is a legit first day receiver (Nance), the other is the MAC's all time return leader (Robinson), and a likely first day prospect as well...

for the Horns: umm... they have a lot of stars... but, um... none had caught a TD until Ulala...

i'll take proven production over star rankings any day of the week...

I'm gonna say no. If he's not gonna play in the safe and laid back confines of DKR, I highly doubt Mack would play him in the Shoe for his first career live action.

Plus Mack says he's still nursing his injury. Whatever the hell that means.

Brian Carter had something like 7 career catches before Saturday. That total is up to 10 now. He's nothing special, just a solid receiver.

With all this talk of our Defense by Texas fans, makes me wonder if they even think about Special Teams or turnovers? They must not understand that those can be the deciding factors in a ball game.

Against LA-LA, Texas fumbled the ball four times and turned it over once. They were picked off once for an 11 yard gain, while adding in SEVEN penalties. On the extra point attempts, they missed 3. I dont care if it was blocked or wide right, it shows that you either have a poor line or a poor kicker.

I hope they understand that if they had a pick, 3 missed field goals, 7 penalties, 4 fumbles - its game over, we will take advantage of that for points each and everytime in The Shoe.

2 trolls down...that is a shame.

Contribute to the site or leave. It is simple. This is a tOSU site...your flaming will not be tolerated.

Post with your head, not your emotions.

I think that any fan is going to think that their team is going to win. [extreme sarcasm]What is funny is watching all the tosu fans get their panties in a wad because you have posters from Texas that think they actaully have a chance to come to the "hollowed Grounds in Columbus" and beat a far superior team.[/extreme sarcasm] The shoe is another stadium in this country. We still have to play the game. It should be a great game. But if you guys really think that are going to roll over because we are playing in the shoe, then you are in for a big surprise. And BTW, the last time I checked, Mack won his last big game against your arch rivals. The games against OU have nothing to do with tosu.

That's an excellent point BP85 and you're right, we will exploit their mistakes much more than LA-LA did and with so many made, I couldn't have seen them put up a strong fight with us. They will refine their play in practice this week, but the fact is that you cannot come to the 'Shoe and expect to win playing sloppy.

wow, that wasnt a good first post, harvdog, especially the last part which made no sense at all. dont underestimate 106,000 fans wearing the scarlet and grey.

and the oklahoma game does have something to do with osu, it shows that mack brown isnt a good big game coach.
