Ohio State is 37-57 all time against michigan. UT is 41-34 against OU. next topic?

Touche'

Although we do like to look at current trends as opposed to the overall record which received a major gap lead pre-1950 and a major boost when our Mack Brown, John Cooper, was at the reins.

Anyway, 3-1 with the current boss vs. 5 straight losses with your current head boss.

However, I doubt you want to accept this reasoning since your program's best days were 50 years ago.

Next please.

haha, actually....we've lost 5 in a row to OU....

That is my point. people are bringing up the BIG 12'S bowl records and stuff. I dont care about bowl records in the past 5 years, but if you're going to bring it up...know what you're talking about. I know we can't beat OU, who cares...they have a great coach and great players.. It happens.

but it can be said that texas has better players, if not the same talent level as oklahoma, coaching is a huge part of the game.

you have to care about bowl records when they show if your coach is a good big-game coach or not.

who do you think is the better big-game coach, tressel or mack brown?

Understood, and coaching is a big part of it...but it's been known for years now, chemistry of the team is a huge part of success. I'm going to say this and i'm sure y'all are going to hate me for it, but the year that OSU won the national championship (02, right?)..they didn't have the MOST talented team of everyone out there. Krenzel and company only averaged like 12 points a game, but any time they needed that one play, or that one stop...any time they needed anything, they pulled together and got it done. As much as people point to coaching, that's just the players coming together and refusing to lose and trusting the person next to them. I personally believe Mack isn't as great a coach as others out there, but I still think he's a great coach who is getting the job done. Any one who complains about 4 straight 10 win seasons is crazy

We're 27-3-1 all-time against current members of the Big 12, and 22-2-2 all-time against teams from Texas, so you'll forgive us if we're not impressed with the Big 12 or teams from Texas...

we're they all starters that year?? you people get defensive way too easily. You don't understand the level of respect i have for The big 10, and OSU individually...I dont however, look at past records against big 12 teams. If OSU played baylor or Colorado or whomever, then I would expect them to win and be disappointed if they didn't. How many of those 22 or whatever wins were against OU, UT, or nebraska in its' prime?? Even A&M?? My guess is that most of the wins are against Kansas or Iowa State, maybe even KSU or Missouri. The win against Texas Tech is somewhat impressive, but they aren't against the power house schools. I would love nothing more than to see a big 12 vs. big 10 tournament. or SEC vs. big 12 or big 10. Not because I think the big 12 is so much better than anyone else, but just because i love good football

Haha, that's kind of my point. SMU? TCU? Tech? Baylor? etc etc. y'all need to calm down. That's like us talking trash to LSU about our records against teams in the state of La. La-Laff:2-0!!! YES!!!! haha, ease up kids. I see i get more responses if i spark controversy than if i ask a favor. Does no one want to help me scrape up an ID?? I said i'd pay and such. Y'all are going to need help getting in to the game next year in austin. I could help...but either way, please!

Nice stats Mili...I think we're really beating a dead horse on this topic but someone always shows up mouthing this or that. The fact is you try and find some stats that prove to me tha I should respect the big 12 like I do the big 10 because seeing what I've seen in the past with tOSU's record against their teams, I can't say they are on the same level. The conference is good don't get me wrong, but I don't see it comparing to the Big 10...the conference is just too strong, at least this year

i couldn't disagree more. did you not see who was the first person to congratulate gonzo and holmes for their great blocks on ginns pass reception in the 1st quarter where he almost took it to the house? the first person to congratulate schnitker afer his 1 yrd td run? i also recall him smacking a lot of helmets in the huddle as well. at the line he looked like he was making the right calls and appeared to be in full control.

keep in mind that people are not compairing zwick with smith when they say zwick had an excellent game. the reality of the situation is that he did in fact have a heck of a game. people are both happy and excited for him. there was so much talk about zwick and such lofty expectations. after a very rough year for him, to finally see him come out and prove those expectations and all that hype to be accurate... i feel so happy for zwick right now. no matter what happens with the qb spot, zwick finally has a game for him to hang his hat on.

the person who said smith is better inside the redzone clearly forgot some rather critical drives against scum last year. and to be honest, i would have to entertain the arguement that miami (oh) has a better d than scum after watching them play yesterday.

that aside, damn you zwick!! *shakes fist* i knew this was going to happen!!! zwick comes out last year and wins the job. excellent! we have a qb. the offense struggles and zwick gets hurt. smith comes in and clearly wins the starting job with a god like performance against scum. excellent! smith is annointed the savior of all things buckeye while zwick is dubbed an example as to the importance of birth control. smith gets suspended for 2 games. yet everyone dubs the qb spot as "smith's to loose". zwick starting at qb is nothing more than him keeping the spot warm for smith's return. what does zwick do in his 2 games? he goes out and earns 2 mvp awards!!

so who plays against texas? *cries* i don't know damn it!! no matter who starts im going to be frustrated that the other guy didn't get the opportunity. and if both play ill be equally frustrtated that neither guy got the chance to fully showcase their skills through the entire game as both clearly deserve. no matter what happens im going to be frustrated for one of these kids. both clearly deserve the shot. both clearly have the physical ability and (judging from both mans most recent performances) the control and support of the team to win not only the big 10 but make a run at a nc as well. all i want is a flippin clear cut starting qb!! no matter who wins out im going to feel guilty that one of these guys is sitting the bench.

damn you jz and ts!! is it to much to ask for one of you to suck??? lol! i dub this the best most frustrating situation ever!! :P

i agrre... zwick looked poised on the field and you could tell he wanted to be out there with the exception of that one int, which wasnt a terrible pass, he looked great, i think that zwick should get the nod against ut... he has the heart and the fire to win for ohio state
