Kansas St has a mobile QB and a quick small RB (but also a bigger fast RB in Selvin). Outside of that the comparisons are overstated.

I seriously doubt that KState had many future NFL lineman, which Texas clearly does (they have first round caliber ones at that). And I bet their talent at LB/DB didn't compare.

Texas fight, I like your sig picture, but if you could shrink it a little that would be great (right now it takes up most of the screen). Send me a private message on how to do that.

Texas is to blame for Drew Brees also, he grew up in fucking Austin. Good deal to let that one get away.

But then again Texas is responsible for Youboty and Schlegel as well

but everything's bigger in texas including our signatures...............you guys are going to hate that attitude coming from Texas fans in Columbus, many of us tend to be very proud, very proud of our state.

Your statement could be applied to the obsession with kansas state in this thread. Sure, it shows that Tressel's a great big game coach, and the big12 hasn't showed up recently. But that game doesn't have anything to do with this game other than a small handful of players.

Read some more...I think a lot of folks agree with me that the Big 12 has consistantly been exposed, especially by us. And the way we've handled Big 12 teams, every year over the last three seasons, with each of them being bowl teams, most certainly applies to the Texas game. It hasn't been because the Big 12 "hasn't showed up recently", but more that they aren't what folks say they are, and that we're better than others expect.

I, for one, strongly agree that the Big XII has been more hype than actually good.

To be fair that KSU team we are discussing lost 3 games in the regular season that year. They did upset OU in the CCG but under the Big Ten's format would not have been the conference champion. Ironically their victory over OU gave them the BCS invite when it could have been Buckeyes/Horns in the Fiesta that year. I hate the conference championship game if everyone doesn't have one.

Oklahoma State was the 5th best team in the 6 team South Division last season. They lost to us, OU, A&M, and Tech. The only South team they beat was Baylor.

This argument can go round and round when comparing conferences. Like how we can also say the second best team in the Big XII beat the Big Ten champion in the Rose Bowl.

I am just ready for football to start. It is finally here!

That's what that is? SIMV, s&gray and I were trying to figure out what that thing was. "Come on lady, ask the question everyone wants, what the heck happened to your cheek?"

I agree that the big12 is somewhat overrated. I just think that Texas is going to be better than any of the teams we've faced thus far. That doesn't change the fact that I think we'll win. The fact that they beat the 03 kansas state team with less talent than they have now should weaken that game as an argument.
