Game Thread Game Two: #1 Ohio State 24, #2 Texas 7 (9/9/06)

MAN I AM SO ANXIOUS!!!!!
I live in Dallas Texas and I have been getting heckled all week, let alone today on casual friday when I always show my colors and pride in the buckeyes. I have so many lunch bets I will be eating free lunch till the end of the year, that is if they all pay off and we win, which I am confident we will.

SAW-EM-OFF BUCKEYES!!!!

Good luck guys. I hope for a great game to follow up last year. For any of you in Austin, travelling to Austin, have a great time, win or lose.

I am going to predict a nailbiter on this one. I think Texas' defense is going to perform extraordinarily well with a great crowd behind them. I think tOSU's running game will prove to be the difference, as I expect a lot of focus from Chizik on the pass, leaving some extra wiggle room for tOSU's running game. If Pittman converts, and takes advantage, you guys will take control of the game. That being said, I think our D-Line plays up to the hype, and as long as Robison doesn't cheat in too much, they will keep Pittman at bay.

I don't expect a great day from the UT offense, but in line with my above statments, they won't need to have a world beating day. This one comes down to a FG at the end. UT wins 28-27, as a last second tOSU FG goes wide right.

It's been real, talk to the board next week. I hope you guys win all of your games this season other than this one.

Yeah, same to you bro. I'm not diggin the whole wide right thing, that would absolutely suck. Regardless, this game will live up to the hype. It's what college football is all about. Kudos to OSU and Texas for having the balls to actually schedule tough non conference games.

Hey BB73, get in touch with E-horn. Meet him at guerros, buy him a Shiner Bock. He can get you to some free tail gating is my guess. Put the beer on my tab when next we meet... say the PSU game? Enjoy Austin, Go Bucks! and :oh:

Rivals (Free)

The Game of the Week is analyzed and hyped.

Interesting giving Ohio State the advantage in the Texas Passing Game vs Ohio State Secondary. Same goes for the reasoning for "X-Factor."

Seems all the Rivals "experts" picked Ohio State as well.

My favorite part of the article though:

Then again, having the nation's best quarterback in your huddle can help a team overcome just about anything.
This year, Ohio State has that luxury.
Saturday @ 8:00 p.m. is going to seem like an eternity.

At least tonight we can all get "distracted"... that should kill a good 12 hours... actually it might kill right up to the game. Then again I want to be awake enough to watch the game... it'll be a fine line to try and walk haha.

Roger that.......liquid distraction........sweet sweet satisfaction. :wink2:
