Game Thread Game Two: #1 Ohio State 24, #2 Texas 7 (9/9/06)

S. Holmes had the same No. of TD receptions last year (11) as your ENTIRE receiving group did, and last I checked, He's gone.
So we throw to someone else then... :roll1:

T. Ginn is great when he dosen't have a CB with speed that matches his to cover him, unfortunately for tOSU, Texas has 3 that can cover him man to man.
:slappy:

three corners who can shut down ginn? (so did that mean UT had 4-5 top flight corners last year?) And the world's greatest collection of offensive talent around QBs? Well why doesn't everyone just cancel the season next year.

Fortunately for your sake, Mack is not stupid enough to play Ginn 1v1, especially not with his third best corner.

Oh, OK.

And it's a well known fact that when a player leaves, his production is completely lost, and the person who plays in his place produces absolutely nothing. Got it.

And OSU has SUCH a hard time producing receivers. You know how hard it was for us to replace Joey Galloway, Terry Glenn, David Boston, etc... :shake:

Yeah, and they are better than the two guys who went in the NFL draft from Texas team last season... My god the humanity.... OSU should just forget going after all, how will we even move the ball on the Texas defense. Not only did they lose guys to graduation and the NFL, but heck the guys riding the pine last season are BETTER than the guys they lost... god only knows why the replacements werent starters....

And look for an improved and polished UT secondary with 3 returning starters, and a better cover corner than C. Griffin was, that being Ryan Palmer, to double Ginn when needed. Hell our linebacker can run step for step with Ginn. Texas has proved (past tense) that it can shut down anyone tOSU has, you are confusing Texas with Notre Dame and the likes.

What part of THAT is hard to understand??

Proved in the past by a different team. Really, this isn't even challenging.

Texas won't cover anyone in man, since the defense will be in cover 2 or Tampa 2 coverage nearly all the time.

The linebacker comment almosts certainly refers to Kelson being able to cover Bush on a wheel route in the Rose Bowl, a play that should have been an INT. But as I said, a single play shouldn't be used to draw such conclusions.
