Add in that last 38-31 win over a 5-6 Stanford team and its just plain sad.
ND's opponents are now a combined 53-52....and thats with freakin 10-0 USC.

Oh, and it's fun to pile on Jax, so it's even worse than that. Let's look at the teams Notre Dame beat with a winning record that are bowl eligible:
Michigan is 7-4 and headed to a 2nd tier bowl (and played that game without Hart), BYU is 6-5 out of the Mountain West playing in the Las Vegas Bowl, and Navy is 6-4 by beating 6 teams with a combined record of....9 and goddam 54! All the rest of the teams they beat are not bowl eligible.
If that doesn't scream toughest schedule in 50 years, I don't know waht does...NOT.

Stanford lost to UC-Davis. Nuff said. Our D will stuff Walker and those jump balls won't be as easy as they were against those Standford Db's who forgot how to look back for the ball.

Yep, USC, Michigan, and 9 teams that were good 5-10 years ago, including a 1-10, a 2-9, and a loss to a 5-6. Wow, shouldn't they be playing for the national championship, or did they already win it?

There is no doubt in my mind that he is broadcasting under the influence, the only question remaining is to what degree.
Holtz is also desperately trying to say that ND vs Oregon (drunk slip-up Freudian glitch, State) is the right match-up rather than ND vs the Buckeyes...
And everyone else in the studio is sticking it to him on how that means the Irish are afraid of facing the one good Defense they might have to play, ALL YEAR.

Are any of you watching College Gameday Final? Lou Holtz is an ultimate homer. He's actually defending Notre Dame even though they squeeked by a team with a piss-weak defense. I don't think he even knows where he is most of the time. Lou Holtz thinks Notre Dame is the best team in the nation. If anyone who works at College Gameday is reading this, please fire him. I can't believe I'm going to say I'd rather have Trev Alberts than Lou Holtz on that show. He will never admit when another team is better than Notre Lame. He annoys the crap out of me. I just had to rant about the Notre Dame lovefest, thanks for listening

I need to see Ohio St. play Notre Dame in the Fiesta bowl so badly. I want to see Notre Dame crushed. I can't describe how much I want to see Ohio St. beat the shit out of Lou Holtz's team. If there is any justice in this world Ohio St. will get a chance to play Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl.
