Rest of the season? I think it would be a tremendous feat for him to make it back from that at all

when i was a freshman in HS, we had a stud soccer player who broke his leg like that... well, actually his was worse, as it was a compound fracture and the bone broke the skin... but anyway, he was on crutches for a year, and still walks with a cane to this day.

based on what i saw, i think Prothro will be lucky to ever walk without a permanent limp, and i will be SHOCKED if he ever plays another down of football...

The pictures look a lot like when Tyrell Dortch (MSU) broke his leg against Wiscy a few years back. I don't remember the exact specifics, and not being an orthopaedic surgeon my thoughts on this are basically worthless. Having said that, the videos of the injuries are eerily similar. I believe Dortch broke his tibia and fibula, was out for a year, but did come back.
At any rate, Prothro is definitely a tough loss for Alabama. My prayers will be with him and his family.
