Game Thread Game Six: Ohio State 35, Michigan State 24 (final)

You know the gametime assessments are always sharper than reality...

I'm not sure I can agree that he is doing well enough for us to win...I really have doubts based on his recent performance.

I'm not saying yank him, play JZ or TB, but I am saying my confidence in him is not high.
that's fair, and some of the time my angle was not the best for judging the space the intermediate routes had (corner angle).

I don't have high confidence in him, but I think he's getting it done.

When Smith would be locked onto one side of the field (with 2 options), they seemed to be covered quite well. I would love to see a TE release late and catch a 5 yarder and turn up field. Maybe Hamby's not the answer, but Stan White seems like he's been serviceable.

Heck, the defenses up now aren't that great, get some mileage out of the bulked-up Roy Hall for once.
My only gripe today is that I wish we wouldn't wait until the second half to start playing football. We keep spotting the opposition points and then trying to come back. Let's have a sense of urgency at the beginning of the game and get after it.

On the flip side, we outscored them 21-7 in the 2nd half. Way to make the adjustments, coaching staff.
very well stated, I agree largely with this.

I'll be going down from Indianapolis. Bought my tickets from OSU's website so I'll be with other Buckeyes right?

maybe and maybe not, the tickets at indiana games are what i like to call "General Admission", meaning you buy the ticket, enter the gate and sit where you want, i found this out when they went on sale on the OSU site and there was no seat or row numbers listed for the tickets

but knowing with how many osu fans usually travel to that game, you should be with alot of ohio state fans, of course indiana will probably have more fans there then in years past because they are alot better this year

The most ugly part about this game was its hostile environment. Tressel will be booed, that's to be expected. Heck, I've even gotten used to everyone hating troy smith and swearing at him any time a play doesn't go for a first down. But the boos and spite aimed at Ginn and Holmes (and the sarcastic cheer later when he caught one) were pretty ugly.

I love the quote from teddy to Holmes while he was struggling:
"You put them in this situation. Now go and get them out of this situation."

I suppose it is my spartan homer tendencies in me (I root for them too due to family), but Trannon is one heck of an athlete (I like that visor too). Besides being a two sport star, the kid was launching passes 60+ yards to an assistant during warmups.

JWinslow, where were your seats?

I don't think Hall played at all today. Gonzo was the third WR at all times. Frost seems to be coming slowly out of the doghouse, and played a bit as the second TE. White and Dionte split time pretty equally.

D'Andrea played only on kickoff teams. Gholston was in uniform, but didn't play. Lyons, Nicol, Cordle, Freeman, Underwood, Barton all in jerseys and jeans.

Stoic, I was in the NW corner. I was suggesting Hall in the future, not necessarily today.

D'Andrea on the kick coverage just isn't fair.

I can't wait to get the dvd of this game, cuz there were a ton of big licks out there.

I checked the last hundred posts or so in this thread and didn't see anything about this. Is there any word on Tyler Everett's condition?

Yeah, I agree on Roy.

You were probably pretty close to my seats, which are 11AA. Not as good location-wise as last year( first row, aisle seat in 15C), but I'm actually close to some knowledgable fans, and no one gets mad at you for standing the whole game.
I was in 11AA. Were you yelling much, or more of a laid back guy? I was in row 6, seat 15.
