Billet makes strides at YSU

Good thing that this game is the opener, because that is about all it has going for it in my book. I think that the boys will get better regular season tuneups during the next couple of weeks then they will against YSU.

So true. I can't think of the last time I was so excited for OSU to play a MAC school in week 2. At least we can say that we are playing a I-A squad.

I just can't see Coach Tressel running up the score on his old team. I expect to see the Buckeyes play a "straight" defense and be very predictable and non-creative on offense.

1. tOSU will not want to "show" too much to anyone on film this early in the year.
2. YSU game should be won easily
3. Excellent opportunity to try out some untested talent and give playing time to those who would't normally get the time but deserve it.
4. Coach Tressel spent 15 years of his life at YSU and he has a lot of ties to the university and the people in the community.

Agree 100%. Plain vanilla for YSU and Akron. Makes you wish the old redshirting rules were still in effect so everyone could play in both games.

I don't think JT would run the score up intentionally on anyone, especially YSU but it will still be pretty lopsided. I'd guess OSU in the 40's YSU in the teens.

My thoughts are the Buckeyes will score in the hig 30's and the Penguins will be lucky to score in the single digits.

tOSU Defense should be one of the best in college football this year IMO.

I have BIG expectations on how far the D will take tOSU this year.

1.) We're busting out all stops.. shot ginns, wish/flexbones, hell even sneaking ray small in at QB.. a JT move that inspired NCAA 08 players across the globe
2.) This is our game of the year,

I already reached the conclusion that neither side was going to budge on this one. I clowned Auburn and VT for scheduling 1-AA schools, for the same reason I think it's stupid to play YSU.

Believe what you want; that's why I changed the subject. I'm done with it. I'd be happy to see them play an intramural school at this point, anyway.

JT set up this game. He tried to set up the same game in 1994, but you are probably too young and dumb to remember.

You do not understand JT if you say the things you do. FYI, I have been watching him since 1985. You have been watching him coach for 5 years jackass.

JT just donated $1MM to YSU, his wife is a YSU Alum, and JT frequently visits YSU.

As a mater of fact hge visited YSU just before their second playoff game last year and gave a pep talk to the YSU players.
