There were a lot of positives to take from this game. When our defense blitzed from the outside we got in the quarterbacks face, and caused him to either throw a bad pass or not get it off. I just wish we could of kept up the intensity and held them to a goose egg.
The offensive scheme was very good, simply put. The o-line still cannot create much running room, but Pittman on more than one occasion made the first guy miss and kept running hard.
I bet Zwick starts Texas, but I still feel he is not the best option. Almost anyone could have completed those screens. He ended up with 154 yds passing, and anytime he threw long, the pass was wobbly and off target. Also, I would guarantee that if Smith had been in there we would have scored inside the 5. While Zwick has improved, I think what made him look better than last year was the spread formation.
