They turned GamePlan back on just in time for me to see E.J. Underwood get burned (yet again in his career) for a TD.
not EJ... he transfered out due to grades... it was Brandon, in his first play as a Buckeye...

how many redshirts came off today? Laurinitis, Boone, Jenkins, Hartline, Wells, Robiskie, Worthington... who else?

Overall, the first team impressed me very much today. A few wobblies here and there, but a good performance. Ginn had a lot of trouble getting free early and Zwick didnt seem to be able to see the other receivers. Boeckman looked more solid to me. Looked very good on the Ginn touchdown series.

The defence looked awesome, especially the secondary. The Kudla hit was memorable and so was the Hawk sack.

Disappointing end to the game. Some sloppy play and the fumble on the kick-off deserves some 6am PT! I really wanted that shut out.

As it ended, they had momentum. But I think we must remember, it was not worth sending in the first string guys and getting them injured and also it wasn't worth showing anything special on offence or defence today.

The kicking game also looked good and I am glad we got a few punts in later in the game.

I am happy that our guys beat the spread. I think next week we will see, but I think a victory margin over 10 points probably is possible.

Zwick had his best game as a Buckeye. Boeckman looked solid too. That said, I still want to see Smith. I'm real impressed to see the Buckeyes take no steps backward offensively from the end of last season like they had in previous years. This game was about what I expected and I had high expectations.

Texas has no chance in the Shoe unless the Buckeyes turn it over a bunch. The Buckeyes usually win the big games at home without an offense. With an offense...

Pittman is a stud. He had the flash last year but no strength. We've got a lot of good things ahead of us in teh running game.

I loved seeing Maurice Wells pick up a blocker (looked like a DE) and protect Boeckman well on the Ginn TD.

Zwick looked much better today, including in the second half. I still don't think this was a lights out performance like the announcers kept repeating (my only guess is their ratings are higher if they can talk about a QB controversy). Zwick played well, but outstanding is a little bit too high of praise, when he missed a few key passes. I have much more confidence in him next week tho.

He still seemed to lock in on receivers sometimes, missing Holmes wide open in the end zone. Great improvement on a few timing routes tho, with a few poor throws to counterbalance them.

And after I calmed down and watched it again, it was roughing the kicker. I just don't like that call
