Exactly. 40,000 wouldnt be half the shoe, as I'm sure you're aware.

Any theories on how Miami can beat OSU that are related to this year's squad? What does Miami have to do to win?

As for records, I think this is true(not trying to get a reaction) but, Ohio State has never beaten a MAC team on the road.

Miami will lose if they use tha pass toomuch(aka Marshall and BG.) If Miami can work up at least 100 yards on the ground, then there is a better chance of winning. I am not totally sure that Brandon Murphy is up to that, as Ohio State's D is tops in the country.

I think that Ryne Robinson, if punted to, will break a few runs, and might even score, the same is said about TGII. The problem is going to be, see how Miami's D holds up against OSU's pass/run. If they play a zone, and blitz it might work. However blitzing all the time, will lose the game, Miami needs to open their whole play book. Throw their A+++ game out there. Leave it all on the field.

Miami's offense will set fire to Ohio State, early. Betts won't make the same mistakes again, I hope. Miami has WR's that are tops in the country, as does OSU. I'm not sure that Ohio State's D can afford man-to-man coverage, just as Miami can't. It just won't work, someone is gonna get beat, and that'll lead to a score. Either way.

It's gonna be a great game, and if Miami can keep the score low, and tight I think they might be in a position to win. They just need to hunker down, and use their heads. Show their hearts. Be one with the field.

I expect a score of around 21-27 or 16-19 or so....

How many points did this high powerd offense score vs the only 2 BCS schools you played last year? 10 and 13 sound about right? Forgive us if were not real impressed with that output considering how medicore Michigan and Iowa State's defenses were.

This game won't be that close. I'm glad you have confidence in your team. But you're in for a rude awakening. I find it hard to believe that Miami will put more than 13 points in this game since Oklahoma State couldn't and Michigan only managed 21. And 7 of those came in junk time.

I say close because, if it isn't close Miami has no chance. Miami would have a very hard time making up two TD's as opposed to an FG.

I didn't mean light up as score all the time, I meant light up as catch OSU off guard early. It will take a few plays to completly adjust, and that goes for both teams. I didn't see OSU doing so hot against a 6-6 Marshall squad. 24-21 right? Miami lost to Marshall, I know. If you look at the UM game, it was closer than the score implied. The 4th quarter I think Miami gave up completely. As for ISU, there were a lot of emotions going around. I know it was felt even in the stands, as for UC, Miami has lost 2 out of the last 5 years. Miami usually beats the Bearcats. BCS or not, I really am looking forward to the game.

I think that Nande and Hunter will do well in the game. I'll agree that the DL is alittle suspect, but it will hold, though it will get overpowered at points. If there aren't major turnovers on Miami's part, the Hawks will be in the game. If there are, it will be over soon. No question about that, JT makes you pay for mistakes.

You continue to compare this year's team to last year's team. They are day and night. You have to realize this.

Your best player is Nande, hands down. And a good blocking scheme can be used to nullify him.

I have no doubt that you guys will be competing for the MAC title in November. But you have a snowball's chance in hell on the 3rd.

Ouch. If Miami gave up in the 4th quarter against Marshall, then I would think that you now have a built-in excuse for what is going to happen in the Horseshoe on September 3. Except I don't believe the 4th quarter will mean much, besides the fact that the game is not over until after the 4th quarter. I'm thinking if Miami gives up against Marshall, period, then they will quit much sooner against the Buckeyes. CRH, I don't think you helped your cause much there, bro.

As far as Miami fans in general, my brother-in-law is a Miami grad. He is also a huge OSU fan. In fact, we are going to watch the game at his house in 8 days, and I'm sure he'll be wearing his #47 OSU jersey. I don't think that paints a picture for how most Miami grads follow NCAA FB, but in my perspective they at least realize that rooting for OSU has nothing to do with where you go to school. As for who was complaining about not being Miami fans, get a clue.

My aunt graduated from Miami U. She has 3 boys, all of whom now own #7 Ted Ginn jerseys. Care to complain? They are ages 3-9, and will grow up knowing nothing about Miami OH football. Personally, I think it's great. Too bad about Big Ben going to the Steelers, b/c these Browns fans will also grow up not liking his team either. It's what we do in Ohio, as a MAJORITY. I won't try to help anyone pick their favorite team, as should no one else. But root on for those RedHawks, cause we all know they will need all the help they can get.

You really think you'll stay with 3-6 points of us? Now, you'll probably bring up last year's Marshall score, which is totally irrelevent because that was only our second game after losing 14 players to the NFL, essentially playing Marshall with our second team. By the time the season ended, Ohio State pore absolutely no resemblence to the team that barely hung on against Marshall...and that team is all but intact from the end of last year. This is a team that destroyed a good Michigan team and a pretty decent Oklahoma State team. Miami wil be lucky if they stay within 21 points...

Mili, we're figuring in the entire game here. 21 points, and some people around here would be wondering if you might have quit around half-time. Let's give the Bucks a little more credit than that...:wink:

The way Tressel calls off the dogs, I think 34-13 would be a realistic score...
