CountryDumbfuck? That was really appropriate...and totally uncalled for. I have been respectful of you and your opinions. I would hope for the same. I'm not telling you what to do, but I have been civil. I don't know what I did to deserve that kind of treatment. Other than being a fan of another school. :bicker:

Marshall by the way is MU, I was referring to Michigan, or UM. (scUM?) And playing Marshall with your second team? Did you lose to Northwestern with your second team on the field? I thought Ohio State played it's first team against Marshall. 14 players, very impressive, but didn't Ohio State have practice, prepare for Marshall? If you listen to many posts here, you should have ripped Marshall(and Miami) by 50 with your 3rd team on the field. Oh well.... take that how you like to. Spin it please.

As for attendance, I've heard it may be close to a record crowd. Texas WILL be a record crowd no doubt, and I realize Miami plays on Alumni day. But still, that's cool. Also, Miami's band has been told to expect a record crowd at the Skull Session. Somewhere areound 17,000 people are what TBDBITL is expecting. Again, that's awesome. I only wish I could have done band this year, and have gone to the game, and met some of you. Instead I'll be watching from home, while packing to move to the south.

As for teams, I will admit to being alittle arrogant, but not so much as to think Miami will win the game. I may come across that way, and say it, but I know that if Miami does by any stroke of luck, it'll be the biggest upset in Miami history. Bigger than beating 3 SEC teams, bigger than beating #5 Purdue in the 60's.

Once again, man, I guess you just lost me. You really shouldn't go from talking about Miami/Marshall, to OSU/scUM, and then back to Miami/Marshall again, all in the same sequence. Too many UM/MU's to keep track of. And BTW, none of which we really care about, least of all scUM. If you meant scUM, just say scUM. It avoids headaches around here. Believe it or not, Miami would get a lot more respect from us Buckeyes if you just tried to avoid acting like Ann Arbor (is a whore) fans. They actually have a favorable history against us (if you started counting in the 1800's, which it seems that you do, too), and we still fight them like they were stealing our first born. And, if you watched the game, it wasn't really that close. It was about as close as a pumpkin would have if you set it in your driveway and backed over it with your new Ford Explorer.

Root on for those RedHawks, and do it proudly. Like I said, I won't tell you who to root for, and neither should anyone else. Just don't expect to come into a lion's den and root against the lion, without at least stepping in some shit. It's gonna happen eventually. See where I'm going?

It's what we do in Ohio, as a MAJORITY. I won't try to help anyone pick their favorite team, as should no one else. But root on for those RedHawks, cause we all know they will need all the help they can get.

I dunno, I love an support all my Ohio teams (not as much as OSU - thats for sure), but I feel its a need to, to set ourselves apart from the nation. Ive got friends playing for MAC schools and I dont plan on turning against them. Actually, I give them a shout out if they end up reading thru this thread: Dom Hixon (Akron WR), Ryan Johnson (Akron DB), David Wess (Cincy QB) - good luck and be safe guys.

We didnt make Ginn and Gonzolez (#2 & 3 reciver) active untill after the Iowa game, didnt use Troy Smith untill mid Iowa game and rest of season, our depth chart was all wrong and we had useless backs that are all gone now and have made way for speedsters and bruisers ready for some action.

Let me explain this in terms you can understand...when you lose 2/3s of your starters to the pros, it's "like" playing with your second stringers after that, at least in the first few games. Plus we had a new defensive coordinator. Marshall, like all other mid-tier teams that play us, played their game of the year and still came up short. As for Northwestern, Zwick got dinged up in the previous game at NC State, and was shaky early. Northwestern had lost 24 straight to us and hadn't beat us at Ryan Field since 1958, so they had time on their side. Our team was not too good during our 3-game losing streak, but we righted the ship and crushed the very same Michigan team that blew you guys out by 33.

Just roll with the punches man, don't be so sensitive. I know Mili can be harsh at times but you have to understand where it's coming from. You are predicting a 3-6 point game on a Buckeye web board. While that may seem like a reasonable post on a Miami board do you really expect it to fly here? Being an objective OSU fan I can admit that the possibility exists for Miami to pull out a win. As a reasonable Miami fan you must also admit that this chance is fairly slim.
As For my Buckeye slant I'll add this: if OSU shows up firing on all cylinders then the Redhawks are going to take a serious beat down. You either show a lack of understanding or purposeful blindness in your second paragraph. Now this has already been pointed out but I'll repeat it. It's called development and it takes real football games. Are you honestly suggesting that a team can lose 14 players to the NFL and start it's next season with missing a beat because they get to practice together? The team you are going to face is going to have far more in common with the one that slapped Michigan around than the one that squeaked by Marshall.
Oh, and drop the "OSU fans are cocky" attitude because you have just as many homers on your site as we do here. RedHawks4Ever ring a bell? That turd's as obnoxious and cocky as fans come. Also, that "Respect" thread on MHT was the most pathetic shit I've ever read. An OSU fan started a very respectful and warm post and it turned into a complete anti Ohio State cluster-fuck. Yeah, that’s a real classy board you have there, not like the ego canister we have here.
You are never going to find anything but a frigid reception here if you don't recognize that you are on our site and therefore must show the utmost respect to all things OSU and that includes our fan base. Oh, I do realize it, and know that if Ohio State comes out with their top game, it will be over quickly.

As for this board, I know that, I was trying to get at, looking at the last 3 few games against top MAC teams, they weren't huge margins(42-10.... I know that score well.) So, I know a MAC team CAN hang in there for abit. As for what I think, even as an impartial fan, is that OSU steamrolls almost every team, especially recently. I hope that it is close, as I said before, if it isn't there isn't any way Miami can win. That's why I said if they can keep the score close, and that argument makes sense. Buck or not.

Where did this "Cocky, and arrogant OSU" thing come from? When did I say that here? I am arrogant, I'll admit that. And this is an OSU board. It astounds me just how many people post here! Truly. There are a lot of Buckeye boards, and this is as full as most others I know of.

I think that Ryne Robinson, if punted to, will break a few runs, and might even score, the same is said about TGII.
Miami has WR's that are tops in the country, as does OSU. I'm not sure that Ohio State's D can afford man-to-man coverage, just as Miami can't.

Sorry, fella, but to compare anyone on your team to Teddy or your WRs to ours (one of the best corps in the nation) is a joke.

I'm predicting the score will be 21-7 or 24-7 at the half, and will end up 31-10. But that's only b/c, as has been posted, Tressel is too much of a class act to run up the score on you guys.

CountryRedHawk - Have thicker skin when you come to this board, you will enjoy your time here much better. You also have to realize when Ohio State played its first 6 games, which included Marshall, that they were replacing 14 starters and some of the starters by the scUM game didn't start the first half of the season. Ohio State was 5-1 in its last 6 games. Troy Smith (QB), T.J. Downing (LG), Kirk Barton (RT), Ted Ginn (WR-PR), Mike Kudla (DE), Anthony Schlegal (MLB), Donte Whitner (SS), and Aston Youboty (CB) did not start the Marshall game and many didn't start until after the Iowa fiasco. All of these players became the starters by the 2nd half of the season and this led to great improvement in the offense and defense. Some didn't start because of nagging injuries (Whitner, Kudla), others became starters because of injuries (Smith, Schlegal, Youboty), and some just beat out their competition (Downing, Barton, Ginn).

I still think an upset is possible. I'll cut back on my Miami arrogance, and say it's remote. Thanks for the good info, who do you think they'll match with whom? (Against RR, Nance, etc....)
