This makes sense to me imo

On the one hand I can see this meshing with the visions that Bran and Daenerys had. The one hole in the theory is how does the NK and 1 ice dragon turn everyone in Kings Landing into wights? At Hardhome he needed the wights to kill everyone before he could bring them back. Unless ice dragon fire is different than regular dragons they have the nasty side effect of destroying everything they burn so he would just end up killing everyone in Kings Landing rather than turning them. I guess one way around it would be to let the dragon do the work solo and take to the streets killing and turning as many people as he can. It isn't like anyone in Kings Landing has a weapon that can hurt him so he could drop down in the middle of the Golden Company camp and turn them all pretty quickly.

I also think the NK only really needed the dragon to bring down the wall. If he could find a way to sacrifice his dragon to take the other 2 off the game board I think he does it. Depending how they die there is always a chance he could turn another. If not for the White Walkers and their javelins I'd almost think the people would have the advantage if they could use the dragons to burn up most of the wights. Even if the NK and his dragon isn't part of the battle I think Daenerys is cautious with hers since it seems like they are pretty easy for the WW to kill.

I’m new to this show- just binged it this year to finally catch up on all the talk before the final season, it’s been generally tremendous. I’ve stalked this thread and tried to read along as well.

That episode was boring as f.
Did a 2nd watch and I’ll retract the statement. Guess I was just in a tired mood last night (long week moving to a new pad). The relationships and scenes made a lot of sense with fresh eyes. Definitely built up the emotion of what’s to come- the Brienne knighting was cool.

Thank you internet for shaming me and my dumb Sunday brain.

(Seriously, the episode was great and I can tell next week is going to wreck me)

Ep 3 is going to be a song & dance number.

I'm Mister White Christmas
I'm Mister Snow
I'm Mister Icicle
I'm Mister Ten Below

Friends call me Snow Miser
What ever I touch
Turns to snow in my clutch
I'm too much!

He's Mister White Christmas
He's Mister Snow
That's right!
He's Mister Icicle
He's Mister Ten Below

Friends call me Snow Miser,
What ever I touch
Turns to snow in my clutch
He's too much!

I never want to see a day
That's over forty degrees
I'd rather have it thirty,
Twenty, ten,…

I am a fan of the show but not enough to be able to make any kind of guess as to who will prevail. I voted for Jon Snow, but would not be the least bit surprised if it turns out to be someone else.

I do find it to be a rather interesting commentary on our culture that so many people are offended as heck about Arya having sex but no one minded one bit when she was a cold-blooded killer at the age of 14 or whatever.

Maybe thats it..... Gendry is the rightful heir, being Robert's bastard son. He will be killed - probably saving Arya or something and then it will be revealed that Arya is pregnant with Gendry's son, making their unborn son the rightful heir. (edit - don't worry about shooting my theory full of holes - I know that's probably not possible based upon the Westeros rules of heirachy or whatever.)

How/from where does the Night King get his information? I understand that he wired Bran for LoJack, but what about the other things that he seems to know. He didn’t kill the merry band of idiots who came to kidnap a wight so that he could dragonjack Dany. How did he know she was even there or that she had dragons? How does he know that the Justice League of Westeros is assembling at Winterfell and, assuming that the theory is true, that King’s Landing is open for pillage and wight recruiting? Has he hacked Bran?
