I’m new to this show- just binged it this year to finally catch up on all the talk before the final season, it’s been generally tremendous. I’ve stalked this thread and tried to read along as well.

That episode was boring as f.

You're wrong and you should feel bad about how wrong you are.

I expect that's the last of any non-vital plot-pushing dialogue. Serious ground to be covered in 4 episodes so rather than mingling these reunions into the next 4 episodes, they covered it all at once. We got our reunions and now they can all die.

Pretty sure it was well known Episode 3 was when all the shit goes down, so it shouldn't be surprising.

No shit sherlock....

But considering the first 2, ep3 better be the best fucking GoT episode of all time

Given the length of time it took them to shoot it, I'm expecting nothing less than the D-Day scene in Saving Private Ryan plus the Argonne Forest episodes from Band of Brothers in terms of scope and brutality.

Episodes 3 & 5 were directed by Miguel Sapochnik, director of The Gift, Hardhome, The Battle of the Bastards, and Winds of Winter.

Aside from the previously reported fact that Episode 3 took 55 consecutive nights to shoot, production insiders have said the battle is more epic than Helms Deep from the LotR.

Can’t believe it’s going to air the same weekend as Endgame.

FWIW, I’ve watched Episode 2 twice now. Loved it. Tied a big bow on everyone’s arcs. Everybody has said goodbye.

Fully expect half the main cast is dead next week. Everyone in the Crypt is entering a death trap IMO. Hello, they’re surround by dead people!!!

I didn't my ep2 as much as other people. I think we just have to wait until ep3 to judge the first two. It's just tough when 2 episodes out a 6 episode finale, there's been absolutely nothing that's happened outside of reunions, so I can see some people's frustrations

Also..
it felt weird seeing Arya naked, I still see her as that young little girl in the first couple of seasons

Why no wildfire at Winterfell? The whole time they were mining dragon glass, they should also have been making wildfire at Winterfell. Tyrion knows how to make it or at least who the guys who know how to make it are. While they were in King’s Lansing, he should’ve grabbed some of them and sent them north. Then, you cover the fields around Winterfell with it and light it once the dead are inside that perimeter.

When you are hand of the king you have access to those guys, probably not when you are hand of the enemy queen. I'd venture to guess that knowledge is on lockdown after the cept.

I'm already having some anxiety about next week.
