I'd rather have closure! I don't thing GRRM is going to finish the series anytime soon if at all.

clearly the show runners dont need him to finish for them to finish... so the only real issue i see is the actors having to be switched out occasionally because they would be aging much faster htan the characters lol

my guess is drogon will kill viserion in a manner similar to how drogo killed viserys. probably melted dragonglass. the valyrian word for dragonglass translates as "frozen fire," so it makes sense. i could see drogon luring viserion into the dragonstone cave and lighting it up, purposely killing them both.

then jon and dany ride rhaegal because r+l=j... before dany dies lyanna-style while giving birth to the rightful king's son.

fortunately, spin-offs and/or prequels are already in the plans. what is dead may never die.

I haven't read the books but I hope they can make everything else in the GoT universe single season 10 hour movies. They really could keep this thing going for decades. New series mean new cheaper actors without no nudity clauses so it becomes affordable again. One I would like to see that might not even be in the books is the Doom of Valyria.

Hopefully HBO takes care of these leaks, but at least I don't have to wake up at 4:30 Monday to watch it before work.
