Also seems the showrunners have figured out how to make a scene in Dorne good. Stick Olenna Tyrell in the middle of it and have her tell all the Sand Snakes to STFU.

this is what will lead him to hate Cersei. Not only because it lead to the death of their last child, but she used the wildfire that Jamie killed the mad king over. The prophecy that she has stated was that she will be killed by a younger brother. It's been interpreted in many ways, but it could he Jamie himself.

Anyone else not overly fond of Daenerys? I guess I just don't like the backstory of House Targaryen in general. I know where the next season is headed (I think I know) and I'm not thrilled. Jon Snow is a much more likeable and sympathetic figure.
Can someone explain the book backstory of why Jamie hates Cersei?
This season introduced Euron Greyjoy and then dropped him. I hope he plays a bigger role in Season 7. Although I'm not certain who he will oppose?
I think Ser Davos is my favorite character. Lady Mormont is great too.

I like Daenerys but she is certainly on the brink of being corrupted by her own ego and ambitions. I thought the scene of her naming Tyrion as Hand of the Queen was actually quite poetic and impactful.
Jamie hates Cersei in the books for every reason we hate Cersei on television. She's a lying, backstabbing whore. It's been a while since I read the books but I think the revelation that she was fucking Lancel Lannister may have played a large role in it.
Euron will probably form an alliance with the Lannisters out of necessity. That's the only way to accomplish two things: 1) Give his character and that storyline some importance; and 2) Give the Lannisters a fighting chance. Let's face it: Dorne and Highgarden and the Dothraki army and the Unsullied and three huge fucking dragons should run roughshod over the Lannisters in quick fashion. Even with Euron, it's an incredible imbalance. I have no idea how the showrunners are going to make that a legitimate struggle as opposed to an unceremonious walkover.
Lady Mormont was the best character/actress of the 2nd half of that season. Give her a fucking Emmy for a supporting role.
I'm guessing the Brotherhood and the Hound come across a certain Red Priestess on their way North.
Next season is going to be difficult for the writers. No source material. All the pieces are lined up but how do you make it all work for 7 episodes when shit should/could get real in about 2-3 episodes.

What will make Dany an interesting character going forward is that her experiences in Slavers Bay have emboldened her, at the cost of her own humanity. She no longer gives any fucks about anyone that stands between her and the throne.
Book Jamie changes after his imprisonment by Cat and travel with Brienne. He is distraught over the Red Wedding, the Purple Wedding, and Tyrion's imprisonment. Book Jamie confesses to Tyrion that Tysha (the whore whom Tyrion married years ago) was not actually a whore while assisting Tyrion's escape, which leads to Tyrion to tell Jamie that Cersei has been knocking it with Lancel to fill the time.
I'm guessing Euron and his huge cock will now have to side with the Lannisters or the Starks? Cersei is gonna have to marry someone to protect herself from the Targaryen/Martell/Tyrell alliance. Varys has already got that cinched-up, as we see in the closing shot Tyrell ships as part of Dany's massive fleet.
The Davos/Mel convo was amazing. Goosebumps. Liam Cunningham should get all the Emmys, because he really sold the anger and sorrow over Shireen's death.
Hound joining the Brotherhood without Banners in the Riverlands, who are headed north. Arya going to find out about Sansa and Jon in Winterfell whilst in the Riverlands, and head north? Mel has been tossed out of Winterfell and now heads south. When Mel crossed path with Arya in season 3 she predicted they would meet again. Nymeria and her wolfpack should be around there somewhere too.

Tyrion spills the beans to Jaime during his escape and the newly devout Lancel confirms it.
In his head, Jaime hears Tyrion listing all the people Cercei was sleeping with often in his POV chapters.
So basically it boils down to Jaime feeling that his singular devotion (sexually and otherwise) to his sister is one of his biggest remaining points of honor; he tells Cat that in that particular way he has more honor than Ned who fathered a bastard Jon Snow... or at least was believed to have.
When Jaime finds out that his devotion is returned by someone who bangs basically anyone for any reason he's not a big fan.

I'm not holding my breath for that given that they: 1) killed off Summer and Shaggy Dog for no reason and 2) didn't show Ghost at all in the battle of the bastards for no reason... other than it is expensive to animate them, maybe? Or they just don't care. They've totally glossed over the connection between the kids and the wolves; but in their defense how do you relay that to the audience in the show?
