According to an EW interview that was 100% Emilia. Apparently her clause was more of the 'I'm not standing naked on a cliff-face in Spain in front of 100 extras while a boom does a 360 around my head to film the scene' variety.

Last nights scene was filmed in Spain, while her part in it was done in a closed studio in Belfast.

Starks back in Winterfell, man.

Regarding the Dothraki, I just think about modern US politics and how much trouble people have processing someone different from themselves being in charge.

I still think the reaction from a solid chunk of the people there would be "fuck this [Mark May], I'm out" at the very least, if not trying to kill her or rioting.

I guess I'm just nitpicking and that would be wasted screen time and it was supposed to be a cool, powerful moment.

Not bringing poli talk here, but, if trump kills the entire republican party and burns down the convention center walking out with his clothes burned off I'll vote for his crazy ass.

Yeah, that scene stretched reality. I'm trying to ignore it and just revel in its otherwise awesomeness.

Reality? A chick who can't be burned by fire and has 3 dragons? Those unburnt tits looked real enough to me. Let's revel together 'cause those fuckers thought that they were getting over on Daenerys Stormborn. They didn't, and that was pretty badass. And now she's back in bidness...Loved it.

these cheap bastards need to stop killing off direwolves just because they are too cheap to pay for the CGI to get them into scenes

I don't care about armies of cgi walking dead, keep the direwolves with the Stark children

book crows eye is a trillion times more interesting than the show, also the dialogue for the kings moot was pretty bad

A few hundred feet is totally enough of a head start for a girl dragging at least 200 pounds of weight on a sledge (150+ for Bran, 50ish for the sledge) to outrun the army of the dead

Perhaps a miraculous reappearance of Benjen is in the works?

fuck them for killing off direwolves

so I guess the Boltons just forgot to defend Moat Cailin, the fortress that has prevented invasion of the North for millennia? Or maybe Ramsay thinks Littlefinger is on his side or something and let the Vale knights in?

I find it completely implausible that Brienne is going to make the journey to Riverrun 1) at all due to geography 2) in a timely manner due to geography

also, isn't Littlefinger telling Sansa that her uncle has retaken Riverrun about the most obvious lie ever?

I look forward to the new red priest showing someone her boobs, because that's definitely a major part of their religion, clearly

If you read the books you'd know the part in your brienne spoiler is not a lie. It's straight from the books.

I've read the books- considering they've diverged substantially from the Riverrun plot between the books and the show- namely Jaime not being there- and they haven't been to Riverrun in the show in a long ass time -since before the Red Wedding?- I assume it's up in the air what's actually going on there in the show.

Also, the Blackfish is currently at large in the books and Riverrun is under Lannister control, so I don't really follow what you're saying in the first place.

If they want to milk some more money out of this franchise after the main arc concludes, they should refilm the first season with the Essos Theater performers as a 10 episode half hour comedy. Bumbling twit Ned and benevolent Cersei and Joffrey were hilarious. I like how the entire play pinned all of the ills of Westeros on Tyrion paying Illyn to behead Ned behind Joffreys back.
