It is commercial free, though. That's equivilent to ~13 episodes on network TV, which is pretty common for a one hour drama.

While I see what you are saying, but I bet it's much less than hour. If you count the previously on + intro + time it actually starts (gotta promote the HBO shows no one actually watches) not to mention they usually end at 55mins after the hour and it's closer to 48-50mins.

It's pure speculation based on what is actually seen in the trailers about plot lines for the upcoming season.

If you've read the books or are at all familiar with fan theories it's nothing new. I think the biggest thing might be spoilers for the next book (even though they've diverged pretty significantly at this point).

I'm in pretty deep though so maybe not the best person to ask.

Remember that Dan and Dave know the end game that Martin has and knows a decent portion of winds of winter. So, they'll know how far they are diverging.

Of course, if the alleged leaks from winds are true, then the internet is going to explode anyway.
