I was not expecting to see so many wights and white walkers. But it did depict fairly well why the Wall was built in the first place and why the wildings have consolidated an army walking towards the Wall (probably to get the hell out of there!).

I thought the House of the Undying was ridiculously stupid in the books but they did a good job making it at least somewhat ... cool, I guess.

Last night probably means the end of badass Tyrion now that he no longer has any real power or authority. That sucks.

Great speech by Theon Greyjoy. Hilarious result. I guess they will wait until next season or the season after that to introduce us to Roose Bolton's bastard - who was the one who burned Winterfell.

Guess we won't need to speculate on who burnt Winterfell. Who wants to discuss that type of stuff when we have people that have read the books? Any other mystery you would like to tell us about?

I honestly thought it was obvious from the episodes. Robb Stark approves sending Roose Bolton's bastard to reclaim Winterfell w/ instructions to grant pardons to Ironborn who wave the white flag except for Theon. There is a siege and the Ironborn turn on Theon. The siege didn't just go away. So what mystery was there?

How about "Why the fuck would they burn down Winterfell?" How the fuck is that obvious? We don't even know much about that character. All we know is Winterfell is burnt to the ground. We don't know if Ironborn somehow did it, or there was a fight, or what. The Ironborn were given the opportunity to come peacefully, so why was Winterfell burning. So yes, the siege was supposed to go away at that point. Besides, if you have a city under siege and you actually want the city, you don't burn the damn thing down. As it turns out (and many people elsewhere wondered the same thing), the Boltons apparently betrayed Robb.

Think of it this way, it's pretty obvious who is Kaiser Soze the second time you watch the film. People who have read the books simply cannot understand they know things that are not obvious in the series.

I apologize. I guess it just seemed obvious to me since I have read the books. I should have seen how it could still be a mystery.

Started reading the books last week. Almost finished with the second one. Amazing how everything matches so well so far. Even the dialog is almost identical. Couldn't stand waiting over five years to find out how it all goes down.

No wonder nobody likes Grand Maester Pycelle.
