Initial thoughts...

1) The weather hurt...

2) Any more questions about Pittman? He pulled us through...

3) The D is good. Quinn is 1st team AA. Laurinaitis is the man...keep eating crow.

4) Troy struggled but showed he will/can make the big play when needed. He seemed as if he really tried to stay in the pocket. QUIT THAT. Play ball Troy..that is why everyone in the country knows your name.

5) Yao..more crow served. This is one more example of the development in CBus...kid played well today.

6) Freeman is still dangling that spot..

7) DLINE....nuff said.

8) Boone sahowed signs of life today...at least what we all expected.

9) Malcolm is one of the best CBs in the nation.

10) Every team has chosen to take someone away...Ginn, Gonzo, Troy...whatever. yet, someone else steps up. That is championship football.

Be frustrated...be worried. Feel free. I am not. This team showed traits today that might lead us to another championship....

outstanding summary.

if the ball bounced out of the endzone, it would have been a touchback... ball at 20 for PSU.

Not sure. When the TD hands went up, the ball is ruled dead.

If a fumble is incorrectly ruled not a fumble and the whistle is blown, you can't give possession back to the other team.

But I don't remember if the ball went straight out of bounds or stayed in play.

I'll have to rewatch, but I thought he played well off of first impression. Was there something specific you saw today that made you think that?

First thing that comes to mind is the missed tackle in the 4th quarter on Hunt's run down to the 5. He needs to make that tackle and the line of scrimmage and not completely whiff. That is the only play off the top of my head i can name specifically but I also saw a few other not so good plays by him. On a positive note, he did do some good things today.

Not really..its just an impression. Its as iff he is there...and I don't notice him unless he makes a mistake. However, when Terry is in the game I see him, same with Homan...

Like I said, first view.

One thing we're going to have to keep in mind this week, assuming USC rolls, is that it doesn't matter in the slightest what happens to the polls.

Not like we haven't been in this situation before, the W's are more important than whether or not we impress the talking heads each game. Lot of football left to play. If we win out, a move in the polls this week won't matter. If we don't win out, a move in the polls this week won't matter.

So easy, the media is irrelevant, as are the polls, as is anything but the W's.

Sorry, Clarity, but I don't completely buy this.

While it's true that if we win out, we'll make the BCS Championship game, the other stuff does matter, because it's very possible there will be only 1 undefeated team this year. If that end up being the case, being the highest rated 1-loss team in the polls is huge.
