Game Thread Game Four: #1 Ohio State 28, #24 Penn State 6 (9/23/06)

  1. Next week we'll see how this defense does against a good QB. It'll be the first real top-flight QB they've faced.
  2. Quinn Pitcock is freakin' ridiculous. He caused that INT by Malcolm.
  3. Not great stats today, but as THIS BOARD'S blowhard statistician, let me be the first to say that days like this are the best examples of the limitations of statistics. That play by Troy, don't even fucking ask which one, is all you need to know about that guy. Holy Crap.
GO BUCKS!

Damn, did we learn nothing from 2002? Who cares what they say? We are not pretty and never will be.

However, keep winning and give JT and Co. a month to scheme someone.

I'll take the good guys every time.

Chill...the talking heads are irrelevant.
QFT.

i was a little worried initially, but the defense has been AMAZING.

glad the defense showed that can keep getting better each game. Still need to become better against the run. Secondary, is showing greatness all they're young as heck and bringing in some really great recruits next season.:) going 4 deep at OSU .

little animal/kerr were the only 2 starters at LB listed on TV.Did they play the nickle again at first.

Pittman is a monster and Wells the short yardage killer. They could do that all year and win.

One thing we're going to have to keep in mind this week, assuming USC rolls, is that it doesn't matter in the slightest what happens to the polls.

Not like we haven't been in this situation before, the W's are more important than whether or not we impress the talking heads each game. Lot of football left to play. If we win out, a move in the polls this week won't matter. If we don't win out, a move in the polls this week won't matter.

So easy, the media is irrelevant, as are the polls, as is anything but the W's.

Doug Flutie has gone on record saying Iowa will win next week.
No problem... I'm sure a few more talking heads will jump on that bandwagon after this game too. It's a good thing their predictions don't have any affect on the outcome of the games as they are wrong a majority of the time.

BTW, OSU wasn't the only team to struggle today (Georgia, West "sexy pick of the month" Virginia is only up by 10 on E. Carolina, VT struggled with Cincy)
