So does Jon Spencer have a good record of calling important games like this?

Just one example 2003 Nov 17th Spencer prints a column extolling the inevitability of the Buckeye's Karma holding and titling toward a victory in AA and an undisputed Big 10 title for the Buckeyes.
Nov 23rd he prints the story titled "3 times not the charm" covering what coulda or shoulda been in AA.

By the way, I don't know if anyone heard it or not, but I was listening to the Colin Cowherd show on The Fan earlier today, and (I forget the exact quote) he basically said that to even suggest that PSU has a chance against us tomorrow is preposterous. I like that guy. And I hope some PSU fans were listening--they're living in a dreamworld right now, and tomorrow's game is going to be a hard dose of reality for them to swallow.

man... i don't know why, but i am starting to get a mid-90s scUM feeling about this game... i don't know... call me crazy, but on paper we should crush them, but the players are spouting off just like Glenn, Boston et al, and trust me when i say that Penn State does not care if they lose every game for the rest of the season; if they beat Ohio State, they had a great year...

shit... i dunno... i'm just getting a really eerie vibe right now... i really hope i'm wrong...
