MEA CULPA: Acknowledgement of a personal error.

I got too out of hand on my post - I got personal - and that is unacceptable.

There were many things that caused Ohio State to lose to Texas. I believe personally that Robert Baker and Troy Smith exchanging money was a major one. I do not absolve Troy Smith of that mistake. However, I believe Robert Baker, or any other booster offering money to an Ohio State player, deserve at least as much blame. These individuals are NOT innocent in my opinion. I do believe there are other boosters out there that are acting in the same manner. These people are a cancer to this program.

Ohio State football lives and breathes on its students, alumni, and fans all around Ohio. There are many who are concerned about those few people who would threaten its integrity. I am one of them, and I personally find this to be an emotional issue, and I get angry. That is not an excuse. It's not even a good reason. It's an irrational response to a serious problem - and for that, I apologize.

No one said that Baker is innocent or doesn't bear some responsibility in Smith's taking of an illegal payment. However, to blame our loss to Texas, or even Smith's suspension beforehand, squarely on Baker is way off target.

Am I the only one who thinks that Brad Smith is terribly overrated? It seems like he's been at Missou for about 10 years now, but he's never been able to live up to the hype or take his team to the next level. He's a poor man's VY.

I think he's more of a poor man's Reggie McNeal.

Big Game Bob hasn't fared to well on college football's biggest stage the last two outings. Chokeahoma is starting to be the Buffalo Bills. But, Big Game Bob does beat Texas. Mack Brown be tight in this game! It may be closer than it should be. Tejas wins a close one.
