GA QB Dylan Raiola (Nebraska Signee)

You’re basically right on. Buford has a kid they been grooming for years that’s been a 6 year program kid for em. They feel he is the answer to lead to a state title. There is nothing about this that’s going to be smooth. Not every transfer (from a high school lens) is a good transfer to get. Doesn’t matter how talented one is or isn’t. Sure, some kids up and move for all the right reasons and there are times it’s out of their control. But not every transfer is like that and they end up not bringing the value you thought nor mesh with the program in general.
May Raiola (or his family, his dad seems to be the one driving this) to Buford have a Clarett at Warren Harding style impact for years to come.

Yeah, I could only imagine if my kid had been waiting his turn to start(or if I was the kid waiting to start and maturing) and a kid from another state, just because he has a higher rating. Walks in with a few months before the season, and expects to start. I don't think he was the most popular kid at his last stop

You know how you can just tell some women are crazy and going to be a problem?

Same dynamic with some kids/families in the sports world.
Indeed. There have been whispers of this move around these parts for the past month or so. I thought Gainesville High would have gotten this kid and actually think he is a better fit there vs Buford. Officially arriving in late June…man going to be tough on Raiola to learn their brand of ball. Buford doesn’t play…he better get ready to hit the weights hard.

Difference is, crazy women usually "perform" the best.

Crazy kids/families usually don't.

Chemistry means a hell of a lot more in team sports than most give credit to and this has all the makings of pig poop and a Bunson burner! Good.
It does, but that factor doesn't usually kick in until higher levels of competition like college. In HS you can easily out talent your entire schedule, and some of the best players barely know the playbook.

Meh, winning makes everything go away.
Buford already wins at a high rate. Buford…honestly don’t need Raiola to win it all I guess is what I’m saying. It’s going to muddy it up a bit at start for sure. Kid coming in late June and first game is August 18. Buford traditionally pounds the rock and goes through spurts of not passing much at all.

Got a program kid that was set to step in. A FCS type of athlete but definitely good enough to win state. They had another kid transfer in from East Coweta. A lot of moving parts I guess you could say. Raiola comes in….do these kids stick? Does the younger Raiola stick? Or do they move? Raiola ready to pound the weight room? Cause that’s what Buford does and they do it better than everyone in the state. It’s late June by the way. Just my two cents. These Buford kids don’t care about his ranking. He is going to have to come in and earn that respect from those dudes. If he don’t, they will run him out.

I dunno man. Especially if there is an heir apparent with designs on the next level. Nobody likes anyone who cuts in lines.

I hear you both. But unfortunately, we're at a place in sports that the kids may not care about his rankings, but I can bet you the coaches do! And he ain't moving from AZ to GA to sit. I wouldn't be surprised IF he were to not win the starting spot, transferring to another GA HS that he will start(with this being his 4th school in his 3rd state, it wouldn't surprise me). But the adults will be calling the shots more than the kids on this, IMO
