Is Dane Cook funny?

Dane Cook fucking sucks. He has maybe one or two "jokes" per routine that make me chuckle. The rest just pisses me off. My friend used to play his cds and I just could never get into it. I also don't find Will Farrell very funny so maybe I just have a weird sense of humor.

I think his first album was great. His "Vicious Circle" album...meh. I thought his newest one, "Isolated Incident" was pretty damn funny.

I think Louis CK is fuckin' funny. That being said, it seems to me that most of the comedians that are accusing others of "stealing jokes" are just a bit jealous that Dane sells out arenas while their shows are being cancelled. I can't fucking stand Carlos Mencia. That doesn't mean I think he steals jokes. The whole "stealing jokes" thing is bullshit. You can go back to the beginning of stand up and find damn near the same jokes as a bunch of guys are telling today. It's all in the delivery and each comic's unique view of the same situation that sets them apart, imo.

exactly, if all you needed to be a successful comedian was a notebook full of stolen jokes then there would be a helluva lot more "comedians" out there

I actually agree completely--just look at that old joke "The Aristocrats" or that old line "Good artists borrow/copy/imitate, great artists steal"--but was providing another example of a legitimate comic who takes issue with Dane's originality.
