I'll say this- I don't know enough about him other than the sound bite type stuff. The sideline rants, etc. But I pretty much trust Urb on any hire. And there is a long history of guys getting a second chance, or just being in a different environment and having a lot of success, etc. If this was a Bama board, how many of us would have completely freaked out at the hire of Kiffin? Folks would have blown a gasket. But it was obviously a great move. And now Sabah is going with Sark. I'm just saying that Urb makes a bunch of money because he makes solid decisions.

Plus, for crying out loud. When talking about Bo we are talking about an alumni. What ever happened to "once a Buckeye, always a Buckeye"?

Seems to me that if he came on board to work with Schiano, Coombs and LJsr it would be a pretty stellar crew and provide some options in the future when the older guys retire, move on etc.

Who would have that Schiano would have come here and step down on status after his HC gigs?

A nice win, for sure, against then-#4 South Dakota St. But that game was at home, and YSU still has this road ahead:

Oct. 7: #6 South Dakota (on the road)
Oct. 14: vs. #2 North Dakota St.
Oct. 21: #21 Northern Iowa (on the road)
Oct. 28: vs. #7 Illinois St.

If YSU goes through October undefeated, the LSU AD should walk from Baton Rouge to Youngstown to offer Pelini the job.

Pelini had that improbable title game run 3 years ago but it's been downhill since then.

YSU hosts FCS powerhouse North Dakota State tonight. Had it been warmer I may have gone, but the Penguins are taking it up the ass 35-0 in the 2nd qtr so I'm glad I passed.
