Bullshit. It's not about the hooch. It's about the government protecting me from myself. I can buy a bottle of NO-DOZ and a bottle of whiskey and it's perfectly legal. This shit is ridiculous.

Welcome to the Nanny State.

Although, in the case of TSUN banning this drink I suspect it may be because Ohio State guys invented it. Fuck Michigan. :wink2:

On the internet claims without supporting evidence are commonly referred to as *cough* bullshit *cough*. :p

+1. I won't defend the product. Simply my right to buy something that isn't in anyway shape or form illegal.

well, ohio now allows police officers to go onto someone's porch that "looks" under 21 and demand to see what they're drinking, if they have any sort of beverage in their hand. doesn't matter that its private property.

and by the by, guess what happens when they are on the porch and start looking in your windows and see something they don't like.

I've been to multiple parties that had undercover cops come up to the porch and ID people. So lame. There are more important things to worry about on the night of an OSU game than underagers drinking AT a party. I see people driving the wrong way down one-way streets every home game. I smell so much weed on High Street it's ridiculous. etc, etc, etc.

I'm 23 and I think that's BS.

Saturday some cops came to a party I was at that had about 10 people. 10 PEOPLE!

make a ton of money by giving tickets to students on the weekends -or- do something else that doesn't make money and probably endangers their well being

it might be BS, but it is pretty easy to understand why they do it

they hand out tickets, the kids show up to court monday morning and pay their fine, a portion of which goes to the institution that pays the guys giving the tickets. i'd say it's common sense.

and, it doesn't have to be undercover officers either. uniformed guys can walk right up on private property and onto a porch and demand to see your beverage and your ID just because you "look" young in their perception. It really is a joke, and you'd think columbus PD would focus their attention on things that matter instead of just trying to pad their coffers.

Oh I understand why they do it, it's just total bullshit. Drunken students on campus are not a danger compared to the probably hundreds (maybe more?) of drunk drivers after home games.
